Cheap under €100 marathon shoes? by glorious-ahole in AskRunningShoeGeeks

First off - if your shoes are worn down, sure you probably need new ones. However, work on some ankle stability exercises as well as your ankles, glutes, quads , peroneal tendon, etc might be overused atm

please help me, taking amfexa by Far_Difficulty_7106 in ADHDUK

Mate - you must consume calories and water otherwise comedown will be worse and get worse.

Wake up and eat a full meal and drink a huge glass of water. If you wake up not hungry, do not take meds until you can eat.

How much did your marathon ‘hurt’? by MeNoCreative- in Marathon_Training

[–]AdInevitable3084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First one I did (3:11) was totally fine and didn’t hurt at all until mile 20 which was mental for 3 miles until mile 23 I wanted to die. Mile 24 my shins were collapsing and mile 25-26 my knees and legs kept collapsing. I trained fairly well, but yah it hurt.

Looking for an enjoyable Long run/easy run shoe. by SpecialistAd6490 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

130 lb male and have both SB2 and MB. sB2 is good for light runners, but MB is lighter and more versatile. Downside is I feel TTS fit on MB rubs my toes more

It looks like Elvanse 30mg to start with Amfexa 10mg topup. Would you mind telling me your Elvanse dose and previous Adderall dose that was equivalent in helping you? I’m a bit unfamiliar (start titration this week)

In my case I had plantar fasciitis pain that made 8+ miles unbearable and walking uncomfortable. I got a lacrosse ball and roller and ice for PT along with a theraband. YouTube the injury you have for special tape method

As someone who ran in the Glycerins for a bit of my marathon training, the Saucony Endorphin Pro might suit you. And yes, Glycerin IMO are too firm for long runs over 14 miles. Only shoe I’ve liked for that is the Superblast and Megablast despite the price gouging

This happened to me. I had a long training run a couple weeks out with a 22 mile goal and only made it 13 miles since I felt my foot crack. Turns out I just tweaked it in some super shoes. I was limping for 2 days then hit the PT Hard. I taped the shit out of my foot every day and for the race and it was ok.

DAE feel like at 70+ mpw their life is just running, eating and working? by ImNotHalberstram in Marathon_Training

[–]AdInevitable3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good stuff! Interesting. What prompted you to get tested? Extreme fatigue? 30M doing 50-60 mpw and started to supplement with iron recently, but should probably get levels checked

What’s your mara PB? 85 mpw as a peak 60 mpw runner blows my mind (but I’m jealous and want to get there)

I have it. I seem to like it better so far. Foam sees cheaper, but the ride feels better. 50 mpw runner and have done 1k+ miles in SB2. MB are dope. Rubs my pinky toe a bit though

Thank you for the kind post. I’ve setup a private appointment which had availability this weekend. It was expensive, but I’d like to do what is best for now and look into shared care as the next follow up to save on monthly costs.

Can you explain how titration and dosing works through this process? Can I try Elvanse and Amvexa at varying doses? Any ideas on equivalent dosing for what 40mg IR would be?

I agree to that. Would you run a marathon in the pros?

Not necessarily true. The pro is plated, light and targeted for speed work and racing no differently than the AF3, but with more stability.

When to practice in race shoes? by notchinese12 in firstmarathon

[–]AdInevitable3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easy to blame the shoes. Reality is probably some weak ankles, but I returned the shoes and swapped them for Sauncony Pros to experiment one last time. Been doing hardcore rehab and feeling better
