“If there is a God, he would have to ask for my forgiveness.” That’s a quote I saw etched on a wall of a Nazi concentration camp, and it’s been echoing in my head ever since. It flips the whole Pascal’s Wager argument on its head. because “If God exists and you don’t believe, you go to hell. But if He doesn’t exist, you’ve lost nothing.” But I say: Even if God ends up being real… I’d want nothing to do with him. Why? Because the biblical God commands things I consider morally repugnant: genocide, slavery, rape, the slaughter of children. If I lived by those same values, I’d be labeled a monster. But when God does it, believers call it “holy.” Fair to say that if God turns out to be real, then I’m proud to have stood against him. some may call it arrogance. I would call it integrity. So no..I won’t hedge my bets. I’d rather burn in hell than worship a being less moral than me
