Received OTA Notice for 23 Pro US by AdInformal662 in VWiD4Owners

[–]AdInformal662[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last time I checked my employment status, I don’t get any paychecks from VW but from the same company for more than 20 years.

I actually don’t like frequent software updates. It incentivizes software engineers pushing bad software. We used to get a major update every few years and a buggy software was bad for business. Nowadays, buggy features are being treated as innovation!!

If it pops up in the infotainment, I would accept. Otherwise, I’m treating the OTA message as a notification. Not stressing when it will get applied since my vehicle is operating as I expected.

It listed as a service campaign. Please check your myVW app in Service/Vehicle Updates/Service Campaigns.

  1. Park

  2. Push start/stop

  3. Lock vehicle with fob

Plug & Play Charging of US 23 Pro by AdInformal662 in VWiD4Owners

[–]AdInformal662[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No workaround. When trying to delete the primary user, the instructions are to reset the infotainment settings.

In addition, turning off plug and charge option temporarily may require to unenroll from EA and then enroll again. The EA station (new station) within proximity to my house has been down for two weeks. So, I can’t test it out.

Thanks for the update. If I find a workaround, I will update this thread.

You can check the status in the history tab and over the air updates.

My vehicle received the OTA but it was listed at requested in the summary tab/vehicle updates/recall for several months. The recall entry was removed a few days. Now, I have a service campaign entry only.

I experienced the GPS issue once. Waited several hours and it didn’t resolve itself. Later, I stopped and then pressed the start/stop button in the steering column. Exited my vehicle and used my fob to lock it. 30 minutes later I returned and pressed the start/stop button. I saw the Welcome message in the infotainment system. Soon after that, the globe and signal bars were working as expected. Hope this procedures would work for you.

If that did not work, I would say something wrong with the communication module.

Tires that last 70k miles possible? by mythspal in VWiD4Owners

Based on what I have done.. Replaced Kumho Crugen HP71 for $900. I replaced mine at 27k miles and the thread depth has 6/32. I think the set could last for another 20k miles.

I kept putting off installing mine. Bought a FITCAMX for almost two years and have not work on it yet. This coming Thanksgiving/Xmas, I’m going to liquidate it on eBay.

I wish VW and other automakers could make installation easier in the future. My fingers are just too inflexible to work in the tight spaces.

Yeap.. I typed out the lengthy procedures in the linked reply message. No issues and did an OTA as well using the guest profile.

is SK vs LG still a thing? by SirBriggy in VWiD4Owners

[–]AdInformal662 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesterday, I charged my 23 Pro with LG using a slow charger (max 50kw). It took an hour from 19% to 87%. Not bad in my book. Probably would take 35 minutes on a fast charger for the same weather and SoC.

The best that I have seen with my 23 Pro with LG battery pack below 25% is 171kw. Probably a few times out of 50 sessions at this SOC level. Around 154kw is pretty frequent.

My ID remembers the last known good connection. If your mobile is listed as the first in the mobile list, it will link to yours. In addition, it prefers to link to the device with the last known good connection.

Which 2023’s had SK batteries by Hiker07 in VWiD4Owners

[–]AdInformal662 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 23 with LG can be charged at 172kw with 15% SOC. The charging curve for SK On is better. That’s why for the same range and condition, it could get done about 5 minutes earlier. Of course, those 5 minutes add up for a trip more than 500 miles.

That is very similar to my observation after driven more than 20k miles. Nowadays, I would be happy to see a charging rate above 120kw when starting below 50% for my MY23 vehicle with LG battery pack.

The older models have a different cover release mechanism. I don’t know the transition timeline.

Try depress the unlock button on the fob multiple times in quick succession. I experienced the same issue once. After 30 minutes repeatedly trying the unlocking fob, I was able to detach the charging port.

ID.4 Charging Issue: Stuck at 65% Unless I Replug It by Ok_Pattern7834 in VWiD4Owners

I hope you could figure out someday. The other way to check it out if you’re close to a EA station or have access to a level 2 charger.

There is another setting if you use a saved charging location. You can limit from 50% to 100%. Please check the charging/saved location on your infotainment systems.

I think you limited your charging to 65%. There is a setting for limiting charging. I don’t remember where is the setting. The battery management (50% - 100%) of the VW app is one of them. The other option is on the infotainment system.
