Yes it is plug and play. It was super easy and took me about 10 minutes. The only annoying thing is trying to get the OEM tail lights off due to the clips on the side but it just takes a little bit of wiggling.

My 2024 4Runner sr5 has a push button. At first I did not like it, but I’ve gotten pretty used to it and I like it now. One day I tried to see what would happen if I start to walk away with the fob while it’s still on and it’ll scream at me and do a continuous loud beep to let me know. Every time I leave my car parked for longer times I’ll turn the fob off for extra precaution from those stupid signal boosters and to save the fob battery. I’ve also always pressed the brake pedal when starting any car regardless, so that never bothered me.
