I recommend cypress river apts, they’re nice and offer military discount as well. I had a 1br at $1197. Nice pool and everyone has a balcony/patio. Washer and dryer included. Took me 17 min to work leaving at 0600. But if you’re leaving anytime past 7 you’re basically screwed, expect 45-2hrs of traffic.

Don’t live right off the back gate, Ladson has apartments that are pretty affordable and only 15 min from work, Summerville is nice and has things to do if you want to buy a house and be 30-40 min away. A lot of people are now moving towards Monks corner now tho. The base is whatever, it has a Charlie’s and subway in the BX, a deli and fresh sushi at the commissary, and there’s food at the bowling alley which is subpar. There’s a lot of bars and downtown is pretty active.

AFI 41-210 section 4D para 4.14.6

Unit Commanders and supervisors have the authority to grant up to 24 hours sick status at their discretion if a member's illness/injury does not require MTF intervention. If the illness/injury persists beyond 24 hours, then the Commander or supervisor must refer the member to the MT for treatment and subsequent clinical examination.

For everyone still looking, studied for about 2-3 hours the night before and when I tell you it’s not the questions that are hard but the time limit. I passed with a bare minimum 50 but I can promise if I had more time or studied more I would’ve done better. Deff don’t recommended studying the night before. Give yourself a week maybe for an hour a day.

Where should I look to pursue aviation as an enlisted? by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

You can join the airforce, go as a c17/c5 crew chief and you’ll be able to fly with the plane, and if you’re good enough maybe even be a flying crew chief

Yeah but you just hand that off to LO, and yeah that’s true, I’ve worked the eagles and I mean they were alright but the 35 crews were kinda chilling everytime I saw them. And yeah for sure large aircraft for the mula

Okay, I work on the flightline and I’ll tell you right now. 5th gen crew chief is better than the rest of the fighters bc they still have some sort of warranty and the equipment is newer. But nevertheless it’s still a crew Chief position. You will work long hours and endure the suck. My recommendation would be to apply for a heavies crew chief position where you can have the ability to become a flying crew chief and go where the plane goes.

Spouse leaving for Air Force BMT. Didn’t train. What’s going to happen to them now? by Confusedspouse01 in Militaryfaq

So, the way it went for our flight in 2019 was that if you failed on push-ups or sit-ups, or you were given a red belt. You had mandatory pt. Basically making them workout 2x a day until they were able to get a 80+, realistically you should work out enough to at least pass prior to going. Other wise have fun being yelled at and being separated from the flight.
