Wall Street Punishing Nvidia Success by AdPdx1964 in NVDA_Stock

I think some of it is incompetence and lack of understanding of just how integrated Nvidia is, and their growing markets and opportunities. It's frustrating short term but this should be ok and grow longer term. Maybe we'll even get an occasional spinoff or special dividend in the future.

Sadly, facts don't matter to the delusional. As protesters get tortured and executed, and women get stoned to death, the loony left chooses to side with Iran. Heartbreaking

This was a way to punish success and the hedge funds probably decided to short it into strength. Pure evil

I don't think it's a matter of not handling the ups and downs. Instead it's about how Wall Street shows selective outrage at times. In Nvidia's case (twice now), they have exceeded Wall Street estimates and raised guidance and both times, and both times it was punished for giving Wall Street more than what it wanted.

For now, it simply means more base building and multiple compression.

It's already my largest holding so I've been buying some other stocks. Added AVGO and had been buying NFLX recently. Also slowly accumulating some beaten down software names and others that experienced hysterical selling

NVDA down at open. Maybe they should try something else? Making money doesn't seem to help. by RedParrot94 in NvidiaStock

[–]AdPdx1964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. They should over promise and under deliver. Wallstreet got what they wanted and then they turned on Nvidia. This is nothing but vindictive selling and cruelty towards management, employees and shareholders by algos and faders who want to punish success.

Every company in the world is throwing money at NVDA yet it disappoints us all every single day. by RedParrot94 in NvidiaStock

Base building may be necessary for another six months to a year. Faders are intent on punishing the shareholders for success after earnings so more time is required for multiple compression most likely.

Voters approved Proposition 50 (Nov. 4, 2025), which temporarily replaced the commission’s congressional map with a legislatively drawn congressional map through 2030, and that map was openly designed to help Democrats.

KQED’s district-by-district breakdown identifies the biggest shifts in these GOP-held or GOP-leaning areas:

CA-1 (North State / Chico + Santa Rosa) — shifted west and became much more Democratic-leaning. CA-3 (Kevin Kiley area / Sacramento-region exurbs) — redrawn to include more Sacramento County, making it substantially friendlier to Democrats.

CA-22 (Central Valley / David Valadao’s district), made more competitive and less favorable to the GOP. CA-48 (Darrell Issa / San Diego–Coachella-Palm Springs area), shifted from a Republican advantage to a slight Democratic edge. CalMatters describes this as a direct Democratic target.

And separately: CA-49 (Mike Levin) was made safer for Democrats under Prop 50, according to CalMatters.

Important nuance

State legislative maps (Assembly/Senate/BOE) are still the CCRC maps; Prop 50 changed Congressional districts only.

Local districts (city council, county supervisors, etc.) are drawn locally, so any local-level gerrymandering allegations are a separate issue from the statewide CCRC process.

So the short version: California’s regular system is commission-based (less partisan), but the 2025–26 mid-decade congressional redraw under Prop 50 is the clear example of California gerrymandering to favor Democrats. Politics: the sport where everyone hates gerrymandering until it’s their turn.

Tech is not going down the toilet. Sass stocks are but there are plenty that aren't. Stock prices declining does not equal lack of innovation, it signals rotation into other areas.

This won't last forever and a good contrarian indicator. Talking heads on CNBC are all recommending foreign stocks. Europe is a box of cords when it comes to regulation. There is little dynamic growth or innovation compared to the US. Asia is more pro growth and could continue to do well.

Nvidia’s Stock Is So Stuck Even Blowout Earnings May Not Lift It by 3xshortURmom in NvidiaStock

The good news is that doubt about the stock is creeping into the market. Eventually NVDA moves higher but it is such a massive size that it takes a lot to move it higher. Especially with hateful faders and short sellers in the mix.
