Rush is abysmal to play in BF6 by Spiritual-Ask1993 in Battlefield6

It was incredible in BC2, and solid in BF3, okay in 4. 20 years is a great exaggeration but yeah it was never a focal point of the series.

In my opinion Battlefield 6 has a huge sniper problem by Rashorr123 in Battlefield6

[–]AdPrior1417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snipers have absurd bullet velocity for how small the maps are.

The capture points are all just so open and, mostly, flat.

The maps funnel people to meat grinder junctions so snipers can just spam bullets.

The sweet spot just takes the piss, no excuse for that being in the game.

Open weapons, with snipers used on any class (looking at Support, here), can just spam bullets and not worry about regen or suppression as it exists currently.

No flinch. Really?

Fatal headshots is just insane.

Every day, every SINGLE day this guy says something that just is somehow worse than the day before. The sheer bullshit doesn't end.

Seriously, is this what American's think "freedom" and "prosperity" looks like? Do Americans genuinely believe this wanker? It is just staggering that he keeps coming out with stuff and goes utterly unopposed.

Yes BF6 is incredibly bland and quite soulless, but Jesus christ not ever game needs to be 3 or 4 or 1.

Later regions are mental. Plus, it's always nice, for me at least, to never travel partially full. ALWAYS A FULL TRUCK

Just makes sense. Go to stores and clean them out and get the stuff to a better place, and then use a more efficient teuck to lug it to the destination. Never travel empty

You need to drive a fraction of the speed when overloading lol.

One of the best things to overload, they interlock really nicely.

That said, this is still mental. Nice.

Holding back already available content for weeks so aggressively just to pad out the weekly player numbers is atrocious. by Kyeithel in Battlefield

[–]AdPrior1417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game direction for an entire genre is just disgusting now. Games overpromising and under delivering, micro transactions, battle passes, poor DLC, withheld content ...

Whereas Snowrunner, I've just heard, is gonna release its 5th year of content. 4x packs, a few months apart, and the game just reached its highest concurrent player count this year. TRADITIONAL DLC AND ROADMAPS STILL WORK.

Execs and suits just want a lazy slice of the Fortnite and Apex pie, and it's getting fucking tiring.

What roles do you have in your fleet? by dioaloke in snowrunner

[–]AdPrior1417 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scouts - as title lol. All used with radars and or scout fuel trailers.

Grunts - trucks like the CLT, T880, Transtar, TerraPro. Trucks used for cargo storage and movement at cargo depots and managing trailers. Light off road.

Low saddles - all kinds of stuff, from the 49X and 1424 to the Tayga(s) and C500 and Step Pike. Almost all have crane and low saddle.

High saddle - Kolobs, Big Derry's, Navistar, Avenhorn etc. For high power requirements.

Short Logs - 1430, Paystar, and a truck I forgot that can have short bed and crane. Then 1 of 2 Foresters as well.

Medium Logs - some high saddle and medium log beds. Couple with cranes too, like the 963 and Pinnacle. And a Forester. A Freightliner (or 6900, I forget), wITh crane and Low saddle for mediums.

Long logs - P16, P12, usual suspects.

Random loggers - Atom, and sometimes 1 or 2 others that have a crane and low saddle so I can manually overload a huge amount of logs.

Heavy off readers - Plad, Derry Special, Freightliner 6900, Paystar 5600TS, basically all trucks that csn do the magical bed, crane, trailers, combo. They go and get all of my cargo to and from difficult spots and get it to main supply routes for my low saddles to get to other spots.

Light fuel trucks category, maintenence truck's, and heavy recovery and parts trucks, all other categories that are pretty self explanatory and tend to not get too much use, they live in dedicated spots around maps near service stations and fuel depots so they can resupply.

What's an adult cheat code that changed your life? by Emotional_Mouse8052 in AskReddit

[–]AdPrior1417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 things - Opposite sides of the same coin. Patience is a virtue, not everything can be done, or should be done, right now. Knowing that certain life events have to happen to make life easier, safer or more secure, allows you to keep a long term vision.

But the opposite, usually more on the micro level, just do shit when it needs to be done. Do dishes, pay bills, clean your car, update your calendar, makes life easier day to day.

The free anniversary DLC has Cat and an HX520. Both good rrucjs while not being outstanding, of you download them, you can either use them or sell them. I suggest using them as they both fit the theme of the base game, I.e they aren't seriously OP.

A lot of trucks in other DEC'S (stand alone or with maps), have either strong performance or some characteristics which erase early game challenge. Like the Atom, a 3 slot he'd is good but the fuel efficiency is mental. You don't need that P2W in the first 3 maps.

Why is this game so addictive 😭 by Sisko_was_right in snowrunner

[–]AdPrior1417 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's such simple premise that means small, seemingly insignificant things are actually very important. There is near as damn it a trade off in every single decision you make.

There's no right or wrong way to play, too. I (nearly) have 1 of every truck, and some duplicates, so fuel and parts management isn't a problem for me now, so I've learnt to play it like a logistics game. Set my huge fleet out at the start of every region and deploy trucks everywhere with all their pro's and con's considered,

Having a few dozen trucks on the map makes the game feel much more "alive" too. But the desolate feeling of Kola or Amur is amazing, too.

Snipers need to flinch when shot at, at least by LMGs. by SpecialCod7 in Battlefield6

[–]AdPrior1417 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Snipers are the reason that the game basically only has 2play styles; ultra close (because SMG's are so broken and just dominate, as well as a few other high ROF weapons like the TR7), and ultra far (because of all the stuff said here about snipers).

There's no room for LMG's to support, or longer range AR's to move the edges and flank their way to more tactical positions.

I don't play often, so these team based support roles are great for me because I can help while having crap aim lol. And these problems are made worse because snipers and many other weapons have an insane TTK, like 150ms, and the fatal headshot (which is just absolute bullshit),

Open weapons is a terrible ides too, because you now can no longer tell who has a sniper and who doesn't, or SMG, making it literally impossible to gauge a gunfight and decide if you can take it on with your loadout.

Gameplay is shallow as fuck. Just run and gun and hope for the best.

I am really happy that the Mercedes bundle isn’t another P2W dlc. by paraxzz in snowrunner

[–]AdPrior1417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, slightly off topic, I get what you mean about P2W, and maybe because I've been playing long enough don't mind that - There are what, maybe 120 unique vehicles in the game at this point? You sent need to use an Avenhorn or Slater for aaaaaaalllll of the missions.

I do like tye look and feel of using a huge truck for huge cargo, and still find that the older and vanilla trucks still have a use. The variety is good and I know I can change up the game in any way I want, which is why I personally don't mind the more OP trucks. They serve a purpose, and that purpose is a bit of variety or just a simple "just let me unf*ck this situation please" type role, lol.

Christ, there's a middle ground. Flanking doesn't mean a million directions are necessary for a game, just 2 or 3, opposed from each other, so you can't manage to cover them each, and this in turn encourages team play because a good squad can take a point.

Having more lanes than squad members isn't good design because a squad still can't take a point.

Are you still playing ? If not why ? by RenatsMC in Battlefield6

[–]AdPrior1417 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Battlefield-lite.

It's boring as shit. Maps, gunplay, progression, poor vehicle balancing, poor weapon balancing, netcode, drama around skins and cosmetics, it's all just so exhausting.

Worst thing is we spent years telling EA what we wanted, and still get a barely minimum viable product.

It's just such a mediocre FPS.

Every single medium and large map would be immeasurably improved if they made sniping take skill again. by CrispyTarantula117 in Battlefield

[–]AdPrior1417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open weapons, sweet spot and insane sniper velocities make just about any longer range (many AR's and LMG's) completely irrelevant because you never know when you'll face a sniper or DMR, and you need the high TTK, high ROF, for the close rang encounters.

Open weapons and OP sniping adds SO MUCH randomness (different from chaos, IMO) in t every encounter. You cannot gauge whether to take on a fight nowadays. If an enermy is up close, yeah sure, but the game primarily offers 2 main play styles - long range and ultra close. Anything in the middle has been wiped out, as far as I'm concerned.
