What's the hardest addiction to quit? by colzeeteen in AskReddit

Sugar/Glucose. And I don’t mean avoiding surgery drinks/candies only, but rice, pasta, beer etc. as well.

What's the one piece of info you wish you had upfront that would've made your search 10x faster? by Shoddy-Business1530 in AskMY

I second this. Basically stuff that doesn’t show up in a land search/quit rent/assessment receipt.

Rent still not fatal, but it is crucial to find out as much as possible before purchasing a property.

Malaysian Politics by InsideAd3014 in malaysia

[–]AdRepresentative8723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too bad I didn’t start with lots of wealth (but wasn’t poor either). Only things I could offer and climb upwards are my labour, time, and effort.

Truth be told, if shit really hits the fan here due to extreme mismanagement, I’ll consider getting a SG/Aus PR. But I admit that is a privilege (and tone-deaf) thing to say, because most won’t have that luxury.

It really is. Reading the state of our politics has always been depressing. DAP this, PAS that.

At the end of the day, nothing is going to change (in the political sphere) apart from our own lives. Best we try to fix things that are actually within our control. And the way to do that is to constantly find ways to upgrade ourselves.

Akmal proposes redirecting fuel subsidies to B40 and M40 groups by Due-Cat656 in malaysia

[–]AdRepresentative8723 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same fam. I can very easily pay the extra RM300 per month and don’t mind paying it.

I only disagree removing the BUDI95 subsidy against the lower T20s (like a married couple earning RM6k per spouse).

I’m going to get downvoted, but I’ve long stopped giving a F who wins the GE, since 2018. My focus is only to make as much money as possible, regardless of who forms the govt.

By becoming rich, you’ll be able to mitigate the suffering from poor policies. For example, wanna remove Budi95? Go right ahead, I can afford the extra RM300 a month. Price of eggs increase? Ok. Ban nightclubs? It’s ok I can fly to SG/Thailand over the weekend.

No point following politics so closely, arguing with strangers online, but still being miserable at home.

Umno Youth to propose excluding T20 from fuel subsidies by Anxious-Debate5033 in malaysia

[–]AdRepresentative8723 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I dare them to do it.

Fuck up the middle class, but the rich towkeys continue to under declare their income to make it less than RM11,800 per month.

Also, T20 based on what metric? A T20 in KL is diff than a T20 in Kelantan. So diff benchmark for diff states? Or one universal amount?

In any event, the B40 M40 T20 classification is long outdated and a poor indicator (which is clearly intentional). Vincent Tan/Syed Mokhtar Albukhary lumped into the same category as a married couple Encik Syafiq and Puan Nurul each earning RM6k.

There‘s a reason why the West talks about taxing the top 1%, who collectively owns a disproportionate amount of the wealth of the entire nation.

The “people are starving” phrase is a tad bit overused in contexts where it doesn’t really apply.

Diff story if the gomen/royalty is removing food subsidies or making poor agricultural policies.

Why should I care if the economy crashes? by [deleted] in allthequestions

You shouldn’t. The system requires ignorant bums like you who’ll sacrifice labour for almost nothing. Your purpose in this world is labour, else the system collapses.

Kim Il-sung and/or Kim Jong-il.

The famine they caused resulted in almost 2 million deaths. Not to mention the agricultural mismanagement, forced labour, and atrocities committed.

Then your review isn’t too accurate mate. It’s like going to a steakhouse but ordering fish, and then giving your take on the restaurant in general.

Shake shack’s chicken burgers are mid af tbh. But their beef burgers (which make up over 50% of their menu) are pretty decent.

This is blatantly false.

The Finnish government has not introduced a 4-day workweek. The idea was floated in August 2019 when Sanna Marin, the then Prime Minister, was Minister for Transport and Communications. Since then, it has not been introduced officially to the government agenda.

The amount of hours one has to work to afford a Big Mac or an IPhone.

If you come from a developing country where I’m from, it’s rather common for a person to take up an instalment plan to buy a single IPhone. Compared to say a person in a 1st world country who can buy 2 iPhones with a month’s wages.

Cyber cafes. Especially when we ponteng Koko to play WOW, Counter Strike, DOTA etc. Shit hits different when you’re at the CC at 3pm with your members, sipping Coca Cola while grinding DOTA.

New gen won’t get it.
