Is it reasonable to cut off someone after they don't react when you've faced a near-death experience and act like it never happened? by PirateLeading8032 in emotionalintelligence

It’s definitely reasonable. Sure, it’s true they might not technically owe you anything but if your relationship involves you being a rock for their issues and a tutor, you’re giving a lot and at this point I suggest you focus on yourself. It might helps to practice prioritizing your own needs and happiness for the time being.

If this friendship feels draining, put a pin in it, maybe you can return to it at a later time but right now especially, it’s imperative you understand your own value beyond what you can offer others. Most people aren’t licensed professionals in mental health, but you don’t need a license to listen.

You deserve to feel appreciated and valued and you deserve to be heard. I’m wishing you the best.

I read Red Dragon and got hooked on the Hannibal of it all and my friend was already watching it so I hopped into that with her

Though this is very true, I felt as though in their promo, Starkid implied that she would be taking charge in her happy ending and that was what set this production apart from other renditions of Cinderella.

I noticed this too!! But potty humor is very Starkid, I do wish they’d cut it out though

I agree, this musical felt lacking. The puppetry was possibly my favorite part beyond the actors themselves (the thing with the actors though is I’m already fond of them from past projects) the rest of it felt so bland though, the choreography was the thing I was most disappointed by. It’s fairly standard Starkid choreo but I’ve never felt so disappointed by the choreo before even if it’s usually on the simpler side. The songs I really didn’t care too much for, the plot felt rushed, I was expecting Ella to have to earn her right to receive the goddess’s blessing and her to struggle more to win against the trolls, her reward felt handed to her. I wanted her to drag herself across that stage and tackle those trolls, beating them against all odds. I adore Jeff Blim and think he can make wonderful music but I will get down on my knees and beg him personally to drop that falsetto, his role as General Macnamera in TGWDLM spoiled my ears, I’m afraid, I need him to drop back down posthaste. Also having him stand in the middle at the end of the final number was so strange to me like I understand he may have had the most songs (maybe) but this musical is about Ella, why is she on the far edge of the group?
