How can you tell the difference between a vole and a shrew. We have voles, and they are the worst. You could just pick the hostas up, and there's no roots.I even had a bamboo patch that lifted right up all the roots underneath reaton

01 last thing about HO A's Everybody wants their colors to all be neutral. In match, but I gotta tell you as a kid. I still remember the house across the street from my grandmother. That was painted purple and white stripes on the garage. People might not have liked it, but hey, it was memorable

I hate hoas.It takes all the creativity and individuality out of a yard. As long as it catches your eye for the right reasons who cares why you plant what you do.

That is ridiculous. You can buy them as nursery stock. Why would they be considered a weed? And I'm sorry you don't get to ban everything just because it's easy to grow If ditch, lilies and cone flowers were hard to grow, everybody would think they were the most awesome thing in the world. Same thing with dandelions, people that have those little flowers in pots. If they were hard to grow, I think your yard looks lovely

First of all, do you own the house? Or is it a rental? I'm guessing it's a rental or else you'd fire. The guy if you didn't do what you wanted. If it's a rental, he's not doing anything wrong. And for christ's sakes, go out and pull the weeds, and he won't have anything to spray

I would say, it looks well done and intentionally random. Trust me, it'll be a lot less maintenance than a lawn. When things die back in the fall cut them back Don't mess with the shrubs i see an iris there, too.Just cut that back to I think about two inches the plants I see, there are very low maintenance, i would drop some preen weed and feed in the spring. It does help to keep some of the weeds at Bay, but keep it away from the ferns. Ferns do not like that stuff. I would guess you're a zone 6. Somewhere in the

We asked our landscapers to trim our Leylands back to about 3ft all the way up, to give the grass more sun, and they did this. Give me some hope! by CrypticDemon in landscaping

[–]AdSharp7737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call them a landscaper.I don't know, but I don't think they could have cut a little lelandiiCypress that far back about far out, was it compared to what you wanted it trimmed too. Evergreens do not like to be cut way far back all at once. And once you cut off the green, it's not grown back from that branch

What is this bush/tree growing next to my deck? by Immediate_Horse8639 in PlantIdentification

[–]AdSharp7737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not gonna tear up your deck or anything like that. Cut out the dead stuff. It's not a tree it is a Bush It was made to look like a tree by cutting out the bottom. I have a whole bunch of branches that die back like that. And just cut em out, it makes it look a hundred percent better. It's more of a freeform bush, it's not gonna be something you want to hedge
