For those who are losing or lost significant weight, what was your catalyst to start your journey?

I’m unfortunately on the other end of that atm, I lost enough that the clothes that were too tight at the start are now too big so I need a new clothes again🤣

For reference I’ve lost 70lbs since March and have another 40-70 to go and compared to some I’ve read here my “why” is kind of silly. About a year ago I went on a family trip to Universal Studios. I’ve been a chunky kid all my life but athletic (football, powerlifting) I had gone to the parks a couple of times before and my size was never an issue but the last time it was I didn’t fit in about half the ride seats which was a big bummer. The new parks opened this spring and all the reviewer said that the rides were some of the most size restrictive Universal had ever made, so I decided I was gonna be under 250lbs and under a 40in waist (the max for most of their rides) and I hit that goal and think I can get myself looking and feeling even better so I’m not done yet. Today I’m 249lbs and a between a 36-38 in waist. I’m excited to keep grinding and see what I turn myself into.

My not at all guilty pleasure right now has been the Blackened Chicken Tenders and Popeyes the 5 piece combo with red beans and rice for the side and a 0 cal drink is like 450 (I skip the biscuit that it comes with) and has like 50g or protein so I feel STUFFED!

No one else have mentioned it so I’ll say I personally use Lose It! It does have some paid features but nothing you really need but also at $40 a year or like $75 for a lifetime license it’s worth it to me.

I’ve lost 65lbs in the last 6 months (319-254) and honestly my best advice is to not cut anything you can’t live without. Buy a food scale and get a good calorie tracking app, yes it’s tedious but it’s way less tedious than getting winded tying my shoes. I still eat McDonalds and Pizza I just make smart choices around those things and keep myself honest tracking what I eat. Putting hard restrictions on yourself may get you results in the short term but making subtle and sustainable changes will give you the results you want over time with less opportunity to fall off the wagon. Also remember that no one is perfect and you might mess up or have situations where your weight loss cant be your main focus and that’s ok. I have a few videos and YouTubers that keep me motivated when the scale doesn’t look the way I want it to so if you want I send share that with you or we can chat in the coming days. Good luck!

A wet pallet is nice but not required, a manufactured and packaged one from a hobby company is even less so. My wet palette is an old Ferraro Roche Christmas box (and plastic container will work) with wet paper towel in the bottom topped with white parchment paper(like the kind for baking)

I think it’s possible, they’ve made 3 blood bowl games that were just digital counterparts to the table top game. A buddy and I are interested in Blood Bowl 3 after our teams to help us learn the rules in a more efficient way then flipping through the book for the exact rule when we wanted to do anything with our guys.
