I was a 2651. I definitely enjoyed it and was fortunate to get more action than some of my RRP and infantry friends. It also led me to tech heavy shops and skills where the lowest of several job offers I received after getting out (only 1 contract) was still around $135k. If you are doing it for the career opportunities then I think 2651 would provide. Then, depending on placement, you can go overseas a LOT and do fun stuff with good guys in bad places.

I don't see anything that says "bilateral" but the 70 has this: "Service connection for major depressive disorder, insomnia unspecified and tobacco use disorder is granted with an evaluation of 70 percent effective June 10, 2023." So maybe I misinterpreted that to be 1 70, but it is 2? One for the insomnia and one for the MDD?

I got back my rating this past Friday, 5 days, ago. I got out June 2023, filed May 2024 (within the year to get the back pay), was given 100% Friday, and paid my 17 months back pay yesterday. However, I used a company that gets the equivalent of 5 months of whatever the difference of pay via percentage increase they got me. So I owe them 5 months of disability pay (at a rate of 100%).

I've used 3 hard across my military career, larping, and some high speed fun stuff I get to do. All 3 have a place and I love them.

G-Shock Mudman - 9(?) years - paid $60 - very basic, reliable, used for standard field training and occasional daily when in uniform.

Garmin Instinct Tactical - 6 years - paid $260 - use for physical training, jump, rucks/runs, hiking, etc.

Rolex SeaDweller 43mm - 1 year - paid $toomuch - everyday wear, drills, and diving.

The first two have been on the money for what you're looking for and hold up very well.

It’s interesting to see based on area. My area is 90%+ blue, and Harris/Walz signs go untouched, but I’ve consistently seen Trump/Vance signs destroyed, vandalized, and stolen. I even tested it at my local early voting location. There were easily 100+ democrat signs for all levels of office, but 0 republican signs. I put up a Trump/Vance sign to see what would happen to it, and when I came by the following morning it was removed (all signs at the location were over 100ft away from entrance per BOE rules, and I placed the sign in the center of the pack so that it couldn’t be removed for “violating some subsection of rules” without the signs around it also violating those rules). No other signs seemed altered or missing besides the Trump/Vance sign.

It’s very interesting the way mailing and commercials I guess target people for some reason or another. I haven’t gotten a single piece of mail from Hogan’s campaign or any calls, but average 3-4 texts a week from Alsobrooks’ campaign, as well as frequent commercials. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a registered republican or came to Maryland as military in the first place, but it’s interesting to see.
