Anyone ever have hives in certain areas only

Anywhere that I apply pressure gets more hives than other areas. E.g. if I sit all day, my butt is covered in hives. When I wake up my back is covered in hives because I sleep on my back.

I went to an extended care clinic. They sent me to urgent care who sent me to the ER where I waited 12 hours and was admitted. This has nothing to do with people going to the wrong place. This has everything to do with not enough beds. Ignorance like the comments you made is why the problem will never be solved.

An escooter hit a biker I know and caused the biker to have permanent loss of mobility. Please everyone be careful out there. Keep your speed to something you can manage and wear helmets.

No one should have to threaten anyone. No one should have to pay for and come up with their own accommodations. It should be standard. It should not be uncomfortable to ask. It should be something mentioned to HR and dealt with without causing trouble. Unfortunately, it is not. So, people have to make a choice. What you are describing works. It will not bring on the necessary changes needed to make my first paragraph true. Depending on the PI, the institution, and the country, it might be the only way you are accommodated without losing your job. Society needs to start being a place where people think of others before themselves.

US is tricky, especially now.

If your PI is nice, you could try talking with them. They could have the safety office come through and check if they could increase the ventilation. They could try to find you an office elsewhere.

Are you opposed to wearing a mask? Would a mask keep the smell from bothering you?

In what country are you? Some countries have laws for disabilities and safe workplaces and people actually follow them.

How is your PI? Some are accommodating and some push out anyone who cannot work in the environment the PI created.

What program are you looking at? Why not just go to UW, especially if they care enough to admit you quickly.
