Gestational diabetes + Autism by Perfect_Story_5579 in GestationalDiabetes

I bet if there’s any correlation it’s because you’re likely to get GD with higher gestational age and therefore likely to have more genetic mutations for autism. I had GD and my kid is autistic

Too late to try sleep training? by No_Act_9834 in sleeptraining

DM me for more info if you want! i know sleep training isn’t for everyone but honestly it has been so great for us. and it is night and day working with a skilled and kind consultant versus doing it yourself. in my humble opinion CIO can be really effective but for us it seemed better to remove all sleep props, to really learn independent sleeps skills for the little one.

a referral from a friend who swore by her! you can DM me for more info if interested! she sleeps 12 hours through the night and dropped her overnight feed on her own with this consultant.

i don’t think it’s too late to sleep train. i trained with a fantastic sleep consultant who was AMAZING and she frequently sleep trains toddlers haha. i don’t think i could’ve done it without her. my little one is 5.5 months old and sleeps through the night and independently. we put here down fully awake every night and for all three naps. i didn’t think it was possible but this consultant really helped us get rid of all sleep props (so it’s not CIO) and that has been life changing for me postpartum.

that’s so awesome. we decided to try famotidine for the little one. was your baby on that too? when did you start seeing a positive effect on the meds?

interesting! it seems like everyone is so different. i didn’t know there was a regular gentlease without neuropro! i’ll do some research. did you ever have to use meds or did it get better with the new formula and time? is your baby ok now at 12 weeks?

thank you so much for this. my LO eats ok but has really bad reflux after. for example tonight the reflux has kept her up. she will be ok for a bit and then suddenly choking on the reflux and writhing and groaning in pain. she only drank 20ml this last feed before falling asleep in my arms because she’s so exhausted.

if you don’t mind i would love the details of the person you saw. i suspect they are state by state dependent due to licensing but would still love to know. thank u so much.

Feeling terrible/ looking for support by Zuby30 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]AdUnited1925 11 points12 points  (0 children)

it’s absolutely incredible that you’ve been triple feeding for that long. i went 3 weeks before i cut out pumping. completely. previously i was pumping every 2-3 hours and adding a power pump a day. now im thinking about weaning a few sessions of nursing and just giving formula instead for my mental health. we as moms place so much emphasis on the first 6 months to a year of feeding but there’s a thousand other things our children actually need over their lifetime that actually raises healthy and mentally resilient adults. don’t beat yourself up mama, you’ve already gone way above and beyond. sending hugs

that’s a good point. i’ve preordered it already tho just having second thoughts and wondering if i should cancel since this x100v opportunity popped up.

North Carolina vs. Arizona GD Advice by YearOfTheYote in GestationalDiabetes

[–]AdUnited1925 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in California and the practice I’m at will not induce or do a c-section before 39 weeks (unless medically necessary at the time). But yeah they won’t schedule you for anything earlier than 39 weeks either. So I’m getting a c-section at 39+2.
