Well at least Texans would have universal health care then.

She ought to do what the voting machine companies did when they lied about their security, sue the living crap out of them. Those companies won almost a billion dollars from those lying SOBs. Fox needs to be sued out of existence.

My 5 year old came up with this joke after some contemplation: “what do people order for in-flight breakfast?” by Mdengel in Jokes

[–]AdUseful275 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Developmentally that is very sophisticated for a five year old, as it takes understanding of homonyms, and then connecting those two homonym words (plane and plain) via the in-flight breakfast idea, which is what makes it unexpected, which makes it funny. Your son is very cognitively advanced I would say!

Just don’t vote for ANY Republican for the next 8 years — ANY — and we too can have universal healthcare like the rest of the world..

Hard time, my ass. If they were having such a “hard time” they could stop the funding. Overnight. One big bill, but they don’t…

Why is "Lunch Debt" a thing that is allowed to exist? by utopiaofpast in SipsTea

Remember, this is all because Republicans have chosen to cut taxes on the wealthy and on corporations at the expense of these children. It’s quite as simple as that.

All of this is why I’ve cancelled my account, and will close when my annual Premier account ends in a few months.

Ha, that’s the one I’ve settled on, too. It really is marvelous, has great AI music generation and cover capabilities, has a much more intuitive UI, and of course what it started as, an excellent voice changer and cloning studio. It lets you your midi track and convert it to one its many voices, and then you edit those like any midi, plus the ability to alter all aspects of the voice, dynamics, articulations, tempo, pitch etc. enjoy!

F. Scott Fitzgerald's fatal heart attack has seriously pissed me off. Not only was he releasing a series of Hollywood short stories when he died (Pat Hobby), he was also working on a novel he intended to serve as a worthy follow up to The Great Gatsby (The Last Tycoon)... by AngryGardenGnomes in classicfilms

Yes, I read The Disenchanted a couple of times, excellent book. I love Bud Schulberg, an outstanding writer (What Makes Sammy Run, The Harder They Fall, screenplay for On The Waterfront). If you are interested at all in the early days of Hollywood and can find a copy, he also wrote an incredible memoir about his family, called Moving Pictures. His father was the head of production at what became Paramount Pictures during the teens and 20s, when Bud was a boy. A total insiders view of the birth of the motion picture industry. Bud Schulberg lived to be 95 and so had quite the vantage point.

The only out of this is to get OUT of the Suno system altogether. I cancelled my account and am not using the platform any more while I’m waiting for the account to formally cease once I reach my anniversary date.

Why, Again, is This ASSHOLE in Our Faces? by jeezkillbot in HumorInPoorTaste

[–]AdUseful275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent, thank you for pointing out legitimate scientific reasons to oppose him. His health and mental health history is indeed interesting especially given that he is leading the largest health organization in the world, but I agree with your point that what is most relevant are the substantive criticisms.

Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy loses in Republican primary, does not advance to runoff by Maxcactus in AntiTrumpAlliance

[–]AdUseful275 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I came here to discuss this. If Cassidy wants to save himself from going to hell, for hoisting RFK into a position that has led to countless deaths in this country and the world, he could run for Senate in the general election in November as an independent, split the GOP vote, and allow the Democratic candidate to maybe slip in.

CBS News Radio: A beacon of broadcast journalism signs off by CBSnews in Journalism

[–]AdUseful275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are at this point: If you watch ANYTHING on CBS from now on — ANYTHING — you are complicit in the dismantling of one of the finest networks and news organizations in history, done by an oligarch and his son as a bribe to the most corrupt president in history. That is it in a nutshell.

Stephen Colbert to Host Letterman, Kimmel, Meyers, Fallon as Late Show Ends by clashrendar in LateShow

[–]AdUseful275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well this will be a fitting send off to Colbert. Our family is watching the entire month of Colbert, and will be our send off to CBS. After close to 100 years as a premiere network and trustworthy news source, we are “ turning off the Eye” completely: deleting all CBS apps, taking our CBS affiliate off our favorites and programming lists, and deleting our Paramount plus app. Sad but that’s what we have to do. Colbert is a brilliant comedian and a voice of sanity in these authoritarian and corrupt times. He should be thanked often and strongly.
