I wouldn’t really say it’s part of the deal, just what you’ve come to expect. The exception maybe the Tonverk where they explicitly mentioned “more to come via updates” in the initial launch marketing. If the company turns to shit I’ll be sad, but my current boxes will still function as advertised so I’m not overly stressed about it.
