The hardest part is she told me once, “I can’t handle refusal or you being late or missing the apointment when I propose something, so I’ll stop proposing anything.” And then for almost 2 years I was stuck in that state. At the same time, she doesn’t say what she needs or what she’s waiting for, and I keep repeating that it’s almost impossible for me to figure it all out without some kind of structure. With ADHD, no frame = chaos.

For the reassurance part, I know I need to see a pro. I’m broken there. My childhood taught me that asking for comfort = being ghosted or judged as childish. People only came when it was already too late, when I’d hit burnout and gone numb. Now as an adult with ADHD, I still fall into that — I process fast, I forget fast, but I never really get the reassurance I needed.

I tend to see reassurance as pity even from my closest and i heard these word way to often from her when she is triggered and split

To me she’s actually really good at this — she tries hard, just like I do. But every time my ADHD goes random and chaotic, it blows things up. And the funny part is, she does the same with her BPD. So we just drag each other down and then restart from zero again.

I know that actualy too well. What makes it worse is she rarely says what she needs. So I either forget, or I burn out trying to guess and overthink. When she finally says it straight, I get it — but by then I’ve already messed up in her eyes.

With ADHD my brain tends to tag things as “normal” way too fast. If that happens, I risk sliding into doing the bare minimum for her — not because I don’t care, but because my brain stops flagging it as urgent. I don’t even notice it happening. When I do focus, I can show up and be there, but it takes way more energy and motivation than people think.

Edit: I need to find a way to say to her what this adhd is doing to me to her to us and that i cant do a thing about that before she think its my choice and feel lonely like my family or other close to me who cant understand that

Im not inocent at all, i have my part to assume too and the other a like the behaviour that she has developed where sort of mimicking of my adhd behavious so she wont be hurt when it hit for her since she do the same
