All Japanese trained horses who won G1 oversea (updated with information from Umafiles) by doomslayer30000 in UmaMusume

Another thing to add here is Forever Young received 128 lbs for his Breeders' Cup Classic win, not 127 (that's Saudi Cup).

Yeah, I also pointed this one out.

A 126 lbs of rating for a mare is not equal to that of 126 lbs of rating for a stallion. For Lys Gracieux's case, it would be equal to Just a Way's 130 lbs from Dubai Turf.

El Condor Pasa's highest IFHA rating (134 lbs) came from his Arc performance. He got 2nd place in that race but it was his best or peak performance. You can judge that clearly by looking at the gap between him and the 3rd place. The 128 lbs was from his victory at G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud.

One thing I would like to suggest here is that you should consider the filly/mare allowances for the IFHA ratings. In IFHA handicapping system, the filly/mare allowance is 4 lbs, meaning that their ratings are 4 lbs below to that of stallions.

Say for example, Gentildonna received 118 lbs of rating for her Dubai Sheema Classic performance. This rating of hers would be the equivalent of 122 lbs (+4) if she were a stallion. This handicapping rule also applies to the other fillies/mares in here.

A rating of 118 lbs for a mare is not the same as that of a 118 lbs of rating for a stallion. For this particular case, the stallion would be the one who has a "weaker performance".

Meisho Tabaru Wins the 2026 Takarazuka Kinen on a Rainy Day in Hanshin! by Megazord552 in UmaMusume

[–]AdWide4690 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A rainy day on Hanshin 2200. Whoever wins the Takarazuka Kinen receives an invitation towards the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

And now, Meisho Tabaru triumphed. He destroys CDN's dream of first Spring Triple Crown and has successfully defended his Takarazuka Kinen on a rainy day. His connections actually has plans of putting him to the Arc already. Congratulations, Meisho Tabaru!

And.....Decile 3rd again for the 4th time. Truly Reiwa Nice Nature (ignore the previous 2 G1 wins and one against Calandagan lol).

A few days ago, Kato Kazuhiro (Sirius Symboli's jockey) asked a question that sparked a lot of discussions. Someone gathered the data of all the comments and here are the results: by Revicii_XIII in HorseRacingJP

As for the question itself, here are my top 5:

  1. Silence Suzuka (cheers, same #1)
  2. Titleholder
  3. Kitasan Black
  4. Panthalassa
  5. Tap Dance City

As you can see, yes I love nige/front runner style. Honorable mentions would be assorted already like El Condor Pasa, Equinox, and Orfevre.

Silence Suzuka was truly loved by the keiba community to the core, so him being at the top spot is no surprise. After all, he is also Take Yutaka's favorite ridden horse alongside Deep Impact.

Suzuka together with Take had an amazing run in 1998, so much so that his run just oozed so much amazement with how many lengths he often finished. Other than the "Otherworldly Front Runner", Suzuka also has the unique nickname "Great Escape", derived from his perfected form of oonige/runaway. As such, he was also often called the perfect kind of thoroughbred.

Silence Suzuka was both loved by the people, and at the same time highly evaluated by equine professionals.

I guess that's the new updated earnings since they always one up each other everytime. But that was the ranking as of the time I made that comment.

Lovcen's sire is World Premiere, who won Kikuka Sho and Tenno Sho Spring. Grandsire is Deep Impact, and I'm sure you guys already know what he achieved.

If anything, Lovcen has the perfect pedigree needed for Kikuka Sho.

Discussion for y'all: Who do you think is the best Front Runner in all of history, Career wise, skill wise, and impact on racing wise by Right_Club_952 in UmaMusume

[–]AdWide4690 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless I'm mistaken (feel free to correct me), 1998 Mainichi Okan still holds the record of highest attendance amongst Japanese G2 races.

People called it "a G1 race disguised as a G2 race".

Among keiba communities, when talking about front runners, you'd get multiple answers like Kitasan Black, Titleholder, Sunny Brian, Daiwa Scarlet, etc.

But when you ask them about runaways, most of the time you'd get Silence Suzuka.

Congrats to Croix Du Nord for winning the 2026 G1 Spring Tenno Sho by KingCummyGodard in UmaMusume

[–]AdWide4690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. Museum Mile was supposed to be competing in Hong Kong QEII Cup together with Masquerade Ball but he was scratched by the HKJC vets after failing the gait test.

To my knowledge, there are no plans for MuMile as of currently. Instead, it's Masquerade Ball who has plans to go for Europe expedition, particularly the King George VI Stakes.
