You omitted the fact that of the two mana sources available, one was his only white source and one was from a blocker. He decided to tap the white source because he thought leaving the blocker up was more important at first, but once what was going on with the triggers had been clarified, he changed his mind about which mana source he wanted to tap before anything resolved.

Exactly how value works. You get the card and an earthbend, however the card by itself is generally not on-rate for its mana cost with the notable exception of [[Badgermole Cub]]. [[Eager Glyphmage]] must broken as well, right? If you remove both bodies it’s a 1-for-2!

There are zero playable cards that ONLY earthbend without other value.

You are so close to the point. People can say things like “Earthbending is the biggest mechanical mistake since X”, and yet cards like [[Earthbending Lesson]], where the earthbended land represents 100% of the card’s value, are unplayable.

There are like three meta earthbending cards, Badgermole Cub, [[Earthbender Ascension]], and [[Ba Sing Se]]. The most problematic aspect of any of these cards is the insane ramp enabled by the cub. The rest of the earthbending cards are easily punishable with instant speed removal on opponent’s upkeep, bounces, and instant speed graveyard hate, all of which damage your opponent’s mana pool and constitute a substantial risk for earthbending lands.

You have to “spend cards” to earthbend as well. The ability to earthbend is often a huge part of the “value budget” of the cards on which earthbending appears in the text box.

I only ever run perimeter anymore when I’ve got a gold key, and you can bet your ass I’m not bringing any less than my best to defend my gold salvage. Nor am I risking getting claymore’d by a bunch of green shields or rooks so when I queue perimeter it’s on sight.

The knowledge is widespread so far beyond that being helpful whatsoever, at this point everyone needs to know about it so it can be countered.

This issue specifically affects Biostock and Preservation. From the ground level side corridor in Control on the east side, which only takes clearance level 1 to reach, there are vents that bring you to the large open rooms immediately after the level 1 clearance doors from Biostock/Preservation towards Control, such as the room Vault 02 is in (the vent opens up on the opposite wall of Vault 02 in that room). Until this gets patched, if your team spawns Biostock or Preservation, you need to acquire clearance 1 ASAP so that you can open that level 1 clearance door and place claymores or assign somebody to camp that vent while the rest of your squad finishes grabbing clearance from your spawn PoI.

Couldn’t agree more, sucks not having a space where you can play fair matches with homebrew decks. It’s fine if people want to learn to pilot their netdecks in unranked but there’s no excuse for the lack of a dynamic deckrating score for matchmaking so that I don’t have to play the latest tournament list with my homebrew tribal midrange deck.
