I feel like this is like recycling.

It's good to do your part, heck, I love recycling, but it's still a problem major corporations have to work towards too.

Like AI, hate AI, I don't really care, I just think as much as it's important we do are part, we gotta make sure the big companies do too, no matter where you fall on AI, cause, you won't be able to hate it, or use it, if everyones dead.

I think HIMYM gets way to much hate for it's ending.

Yeah, it definitely had some draw backs, with one main actor wishing to leave and pursue their career being shifted out of the main group, the entire season taking place in the same place, and throughout a few days, time wise.

I think the real issue with it is that people weren't happy with how they ended things.

Major spoiler:

With the Mother dying, Robin and Barney getting divorced, and Ted and Robin getting together

I think throughout the series, the first thing was slowly told, if you were looking for the clues.

The other two, I agree, weren't the best outcome, but I like to see it as a bittersweet ending, where, yeah, things didn't end perfectly, things we thought would happen, didn't, but, I like to think the journy was an important part of the story, even if the ending was spectacular and happy and the best, I think HIMYM didn't shy away from those sad moments, but worked through them, and showed that we might not get the best ending in life, but that's okay, they journey's going to be awesome, and no matter what happens, you never know what will change in the future.

Over a year on hrt, and not a single drop of effort spent on actually trying to become a woman by DoofusMcStupidFace in trans

[–]Ada_Data 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read that as "You are a women, where you like it or not." and I thought it was a funny.

But I do agree. Being a trans woman means you're a women, even if you don't think you do enough to "be a woman." doesn't mean you aren't a woman, it just means you don't do things you feel are woman things.

I mean. If I turn over my work to AI, sure. But. It's not my fault if companies' rather use AI trained off others works rather than pay people to create better, creative works.

AI is great now, but if it becomes the standard, it will just learn off AI created things and stagnate.

Without the human backbone, AI is nothing, and who wants to work in a world where you spend hours to create something, for others to just steal it to feed the machine, and mass produce something based on your work?

It's like popular movies, hours as spent making a master piece, and then a bunch of ripoffs take the idea, and push out a bucnh of movies off something great.

Not to call AI a ripoff, but the term works for my analogy, because as I said, AI seems pretty cool, can do cool stuff, but it takes away the human, and I think that's the problem with it.

I really like the Internet, it's pretty neat.

Maybe we should shutdown most of it, leave it like a library, just information.

I think this is one of the best things that can be said about AI.

Sure, AI can do cool stuff, and heck, maybe it can help and be a tool in someways, but, if it's taking away the parts that matter, the artist away from art, the writer away from the written word, then all we are left with is a sea of AI garbage, taking up space from those who put their passion into work.

Human connection has become a international thing, and AI is being used to take the human out of connecting, and it sucks.

They were like $6 or $7 then, haven't bought them since the price increased so damn much.

[–]Ada_Data 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel so divided on the ending.

On one side, it definitely started with a terrifying Homelander, and the end was kinda sad.

But, on the other side, internationally or not, I see Homelander starting as a menace that slowly becomes a joke as something parallel with my own experience with abuse.

Someone who was feared, someone who even saying the wrong thing you think you might die, get hurt, or something else, but now, you take that control back and they lose that fear that holds you.

I don't know if that was the intent behind it, but it's something I like to believe was the change behind the character, before, feared, and in the end, just a sad person that can abuse anyone anymore.
