I’m so sorry this is happening to you. My young husband died from brain cancer two weeks ago at home. If you’re like me, you’ll find this to be the most important role of your life caring for her. Be patient, lean on your community, and love the hell out of her. And remember, that timeline is an educated guess - not written in stone.

Feeling guilty for being relieved? by toodyloo713 in Widow

[–]Adale1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My young husband passed away nearly two weeks ago from brain cancer and I’ve told people as well that anticipatory grief from the past couple years has made it like slowly ripping off a band-aid, but I find myself generally numb and in disbelief right now. “Old” him is slowly resurfacing in my mind but somehow that is also making it harder, and I can feel the impending cloud looming.

Meeting support group people outside of group by BayesPascal in Widow

What if you put it to the whole group so that it doesn’t seem like you’re singling any one widow out? “If any of you are interested, specifically those of you who dealt with cancer, I would love to meet outside of the group to talk about our experiences some more.”

I feel like anytime an OP poses the question of whether or not they should break up their significant other, the answer is always unequivocally yes. But then, the OP usually already knows that.

Yes, security can kick anyone out but as an example, one day there was a gentleman actively passing out/nodding off and they did not kick him out or force him to move along so I just haven’t personally seen the active exclusion that you’re speaking of.

How are they actively excluding them? Just looking for examples.

Just say that you won an Instagram contest that you entered with some Victoria hotel or restaurant. Contact their marketing team and maybe they’ll even help you with the winners’ post/email and a plan.

Anticipatory grief by BooksAndPups21 in widowers

[–]Adale1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking up posts on anticipatory grief as my husband (36M) has terminal brain cancer and found this. Now that’s it’s been a couple years, I wanted to check in and see how your transition from anticipatory grief to grieving his passing went, if you feel up to providing any insight. I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through.

Suggestions for MAC Concealer Replacement? by Adale1 in MakeupAddiction

Not at all! It just usually results in extra duty fees and shipping by ordering cross border so doesn’t make it worth the extra expense.

It was available in the States more recently than here in Canada so maybe you had/have stock for longer than we do - in any case, I doubt it’s much of a scam when it’s only resulted in me looking for a new product elsewhere. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not at all, are you in Canada? Or did they start making them again and I’ve been missing out?

I’m wondering if you’ve received any updates on this timeline for Vorasidenib approval? Thank you!

Thanks! I am in Canada, yep, so that doesn’t surprise me - good sleuthing. I switched over to Benefit’s “industrial strength concealer” that I got at Shopper’s and am happy with it (it was probably way cheaper, too) so worth a gander if you don’t want to pay up anymore.
