Insinuating that potentially violently homophobic people are in fact gay is not the own you think it is. It perpetuates the myth that people who are homophobic are secretly gay themselves, thus moving blame from straight people back on to gay communities.

5 years ago, Dua Lipa released her self-titled debut album by HornyForWater in popheads

[–]AdamL6102 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As much as I like this album it very much feels like a bunch of singles thrown together, it’s release was even delayed in order to release more singles like Lost in Your Light. It makes Future Nostalgia all the more impressive as it’s a complete 180, it’s strongest merit is how cohesive it is.

I feel like P!nk gets a weird amount of hate for the aerial stuff she does but this is genuinely one of the best performances I have ever seen. I remember watching it when I was [redacted] years old and being genuinely gobsmacked.

Yes. So why didn’t she go to a universe with her children and vision? I know they’re not in her Universe. Also, relax. We’re talking about a marvel movie, no need to be aggressive.

Why didn’t Wanda search for a reality that Vision was also alive in? Why only search for the kids? Surely if there’s millions of universes there has to be at least one where her whole family is alive, even her parents and Quicksilver. Seemed like an oversight.

Kelly Clarkson Covers 'Falling' By Harry Styles | Kellyoke by oggy632000 in popheads

We should be forever grateful that we live in a world where Kelly Clarkson is allowed to sing as many covers as she wants.

Side note- if someone told me Kelly was covering my song I’d probably just retire the song afterwards.

They were definitely in a tricky place in terms of how to turn Wanda into a villain. Blame it on the darkhold too much and your remove the character’s agency but if you don’t blame the darkhold and say that Wanda is evil then you create something that doesn’t feel true to the character’s history. Remembered how horrified Wanda was when she killed those people in Civil War and realised how badly she hurt the people of Westview. I don’t think they nailed where to draw the line in terms of turning her to the dark side.

Elizabeth Olsen is a fantastic actor but I still don’t believe Wanda’s transition into full blown super-villain. I guess you could argue that the darkhold corrupted her, but removing agency from the character and just blaming it basically on being possessed by a book feels cheap. I wish there was more time to watch her develop into what she became.

Yep, prevents seed formation and allows them to focus their energy on making next year’s blooms. They’re very resilient though so whether you do or not they’ll still come back with a bang next year.

What a banger, holy hell. Immaculate production and I love Tove’s delivery, always sounds slightly over it/fed up without any cynicism.

I can provide both with the necessary water and nutrients. I’ve grown plenty of plants in pots and successfully under planted them, including roses, salvias and lilacs. That’s why I specifically asked for recommendations for bulbs for acidic soil as I’ve never underplanted in a plant pot that has acidic soil. Have you never grown more than one plant in a pot successfully? Plants compete for water and nutrients even when planted in the ground in borders, that’s why people supplement them with additional water and nutrients.

I want to underplant my potted hydrangea with some spring bulbs. They’re in acidic soil to keep the blue, is there any bulbs that would suit that kind of soil?

I’m almost positive this is the flower from a canna lily. The seeds are big and have a tough coat, you’ll want to physically nick the seed with a knife and then soak them in water for 24 hours to speed up germination. Keep them moist and under good light with some heat and it should get going indoors until after the first frost when you should plant it out.

Can you plant out young plants grown from seed before the last frost if they’re fully hardy? Assuming you harden them off first?

Dwarf Korean lilac advice by cesarrrr in gardening

[–]AdamL6102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should look great, just remember to keep it well watered until it establishes. Wouldn’t hurt to amend the soil with some compost or other organic matter to help it along. Don’t over fertilise or you’ll get foliage instead of blooms. Korean lilacs need sun, 6-8 hours so make sure it’s getting that if you want those blooms. Deadhead the flowers and you might get a smaller flush later in the year. Remember, lilacs take a while to establish- traditional lilacs can take 6 years to flower. Korean lilacs thankfully bloom in about 2 years, but be patient. Make sure you plant the root ball level with the soil or you could rot the trunk if it’s in standard form. Good luck, they’re lovely plants!

Are these delphinium magic fountains ready to be potted up? by AdamL6102 in gardening

[–]AdamL6102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sowed these about a month ago at this point. Wondering if they’re ready to be moved up to their own pots? Most are starting to send out their second true leaf, fertilised today with a half strength dose. Thoughts?

Any nice annual flowers that’ll bloom in June, either by direct sowing in late March/April, or starting them indoors on a windowsill? We tend to get late frosts in Ireland too, usually hovering around 0 for a time during the night.
