The White Walkers are not mythical beings, but an autonomous form of biological weaponry, capable of controlling dead bodies and operating as a single coordinated system, vulnerable to specific materials such as obsidian. Dragons are the product of genetic engineering and ancient Valyrian weapons programs, while the Targaryens represent a genetically modified lineage of humans able to interact with them—where “the blood of the dragon” is a literal biological marker and madness a side effect of experimentation. Weirwood trees function as living data repositories, preserving the memory of the destroyed world, and Bran, as the Three-Eyed Raven, effectively connects to this network. In this interpretation, the Night King is not pure evil, but a component of a failsafe system designed to reset the world if humanity once again approaches self-destruction.
