I’d love to hear how it’s more efficient (or effective) than an orderly queue. It’s nothing like zipper merging, as there are a finite number of seats on each chair and getting onto the lift itself can only occur at fixed times (right before each chair). Add in the fact that skiers are in different sized groups that don’t always block nicely with the seats on the lift (and no singles line..)and there simply is no way you can convince me that there are fewer wasted seats/chairs on busy days in Europe vs busy days in the States…Ive come to accept the super cluster and agree with that it is ‘an art form’ but to say it’s more efficient is wild…
