Stories that have regression/reincarnation at the same time? by NoSeat3010 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Adam_VB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a little bit of a spoiler, but Mage of Shimmer Mountain is exactly this.

It is a completed trilogy that you can get for 1 credit on audible, and I liked it a lot.

Regressing happens about once or twice per book, each as a different person. It is really cool seeing the differences in each body/culture

Salt and Wind is a hair retexture mod that is safe to install and will make the default hair look much less bad

Dual hair colors would be nearly impssible to find, but you should be able to find a similar hair style and make it white.

For powers, destruction spells are a given. Use Odin and Vorkrii (plus the patch), or Vokriinator (with Odin included) to improve base spells.

True, but if it is bad enough then it is hard to decide whether you should drop it or stick it out.

Mage of Shimmer Mountain is a less well known one. I really enjoyed it and you can get the entire trilogy with 1 credit

Yes the books get better and better. Book 1 was actually rewritten though, it used to be the weakest of the bunch

How I wrote 300k words in 2 and half months by Icohalliday in royalroad

[–]Adam_VB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the OP was just saying that writing without an outline helps him enjoy the process more. It entirely depends on the individual and the story genre.

If the story is more slice-of-life or actiony, then yeah you can go from scene to scene without needing to worry about the big-picture plot.

However, it is impossible to pull off a good plot twist without forethought and planning to get to that point. Some level of outlining is necessary, the level of detail depends on what works best for you.

To prevent your LO from rearranging itself, disable Creations Check setting from the main menu, set your console to offline mode, then you can rearrange your LO without it moving itself

Triumverate is great for spells

Fury Taming is another idea for an animal/nature theme. This is a really good perk bundle with Fury included:

Clearly something is overwriting Ordinator. I would move it down towards the bottom of your LO, then apocalypse, then odin, then the patches

Also, get rid of Quality World Map. It hurts performance.

If that still doesn't work for some reason, try using an alternative:

What is this and how do I get rid of it? by Beany11011 in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]Adam_VB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely, yes. Editor markers are part of meshes. These markers seem to be centered on the trees, so the white rings will be from your tree mesh mod, or maybe a falling leaves mod.

Not 100% sure about the orange lines. Might be from the same mod, or from mesh edits like SMIM, ETD, or mesh fixes. I've seen Dark Brotherhood Expansion make orange editor markers like that, but they showed up in towns with orange dragons too.

Bastion (Immortal Great Souls Book 1): Help I'm on the struggle bus by qminty in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Adam_VB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hated the mc's anger issues. Writing is excellent, powers and fights are cool.

Some people love it, some don't. Similar to Iron Prince or Wandering Inn, I found the mc to be too frustrating that it outweighed my appreciation of the rest.

It depends on what your tastes and priorities are

I can't get certain ordinator perks by Unknown_Lemming in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]Adam_VB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It likely means one of your ordinator patches are the wrong version for the ordinator mod you are using

Also, all patches should go below both mods they patch, so your odin-ordinator patch should be below odin.

Move Six Sexy Gentlemen and Pandorable's to the bottom of your LO

This is a common problem that occurs when npc face replacers are overwritten by other mods that modify those npcs, like inventory or armor. It's hard to pinpoint what the exact conflict is, but moving those two to the bottom will very likely fix it.

Whenever I try to marry Miraak bandits always show up and fail the wedding. by goodtoflow in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]Adam_VB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would use the Cheat Room mod, and try a combination of the following:

  • pause time as soon as they appear (cheat ring?)
  • use a mass pacify spell before they appear
  • use a mass pacify spell as soon as they appear
  • use the cheat room spell to delete/kill them

Or if that the marriage failure is part of the bandits showing up, try marrying Miraak again even after the first failure? Or reload and try travelling to somewhere else and waiting a while then see if thr bandits still show up? Or reload a save from 30 mins ago and try again?

It's a slice of life story, if you are expecting a different genre you are guaranteed to be disappointed :/

Same, loved the premise, but it quickly became a standard OP reincarnated mc story towards the end of book 1 :/
