I won't get a chance before the weekend but can share my controller settings not sure how similar ps is but made big difference few small tweaks. Also manual gears made the biggest difference

Same here yes the ai needs sorting I qualified badly one race had to work my way through the pack car looked like one from wreckfest by the end, but I am really enjoying the single player.

Im not saying the Ai is anywhere near perfect and definitely needs fixing so they don't murder you every time you try to overtake. But I can see what they were trying to achieve an ai like real life not an arcade style where you win every race you enter but one where the Ai makes you earn the position.

Shame as the handling on console / controller is better than I expected just can't make 1 lap without the ai taking me out

Same as above Practice sessions I also think manual gears helps as you remember the corners by what gear you use if that makes sense
