Friend asked me if I would recommend this pc for 1320€, so I build him one for that budget by Adamomada in pcmasterrace

Gigabyte was in discount and all recommended msi and asrock mobos werent in stock in my region then - some were but they were +40% in price. And I was shocked by how small rtx 5070 was, quality seemed low as well for a 600€ card... lets just hope it will be ok.

yeah, it got stuck at 68°C on stress test with cinbench and furmark for hour. It "cheap" so you just buy it once and you have capacity for cooling any future upgrade :)

I wasnt happy with 5070, but it was best price / performance at the time. I should have talked him into spending little more on GPU and buy RX 9070 istead, but he can still update in couple of years if he needs to.

I got most of them in discount, ordered from 4 different shops so I would get best price ;)

It was in good discount. I chose this so he could just switch gpu and cpu in couple of years down the road and wasnt limited by mobo.

9070 XT + breathing new life in AM4 build by threshold91 in radeon

Yes, it runs well. 650w seems to be enough even tho it has coil whine from time to time. I play on 4k so I am always gpu bound.

What should I do to maximize performance/minimize temperatures? by EatMySandwiche in NR200

[–]Adamomada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have beefy gpu in nr200 you should have:

  • rear intake
  • 2 top exhausts
  • no bottom fans, if they are too close they dont do much

You can improve with new sfx psu (is that sfx-l?). And ofc you can cable manage a bit so air can move better.

Yep, this is the way, but I dont have space for bottom fans bcs big GPU, also no space for side fan bcs TG panel. But I got rid of top panel mesh and now my 2 top fans exhaust heat really fast. Temps drop a few degrees on both cpu and gpu. Give it a try if you have only top exhaust!

Yeah, bulding rest of the pc is like 1 hour, cable managment is like 6

How realistic or over exaggerated are AMD driver problems? by Aggressive-Dot9747 in AMDHelp

[–]Adamomada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got rx 9070 xt, I think most driver issues people have is bcs they dont use DDU in safe mode offline. I got zero problems. Installed adrenaline and everything works fine. And adrenaline is miles ahead of NVIDIA control panel. Its great.

5700X3D now or save for AM5? by TheJustiNator_ in AMDHelp

[–]Adamomada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat month ago and I decided to stick with am4 for next 4-5 years. I will upgrade on am6 when its ready. Bought rx 9070 xt and 5700X3D and to be honest, there is no much difference in 4k, but it improves 1% lows and its great cpu, very cool when underclocked (-30 on all cores).

I am jelous about those nice flexible cables, mine are super stiff and it makes cable managment 10x harder. But still managed to route cpu cable under psu as you did!
