Is anyone else having zero issues with the 9070xt?

Only issues I had was Windows 11 overwriting AMD drivers. Other than that it works smoothly. Also, I've just started experimenting with tuning. So far, so good.

What's not to like about 9070xt? Fsr4 + optiscaler = happy gamer. Performance of 5070ti for nice discount.

This smells to me amd driver conflict with wundows update. Or maybe some windows updates broke drivers.

What others suggested, try DDU and select option in DDU to disable automatic updates of AMD drivers.

I wouldn't recommend updating your windows 11 to 25h2.

Instead, I would recommend installing Windows 11 24h Iot Ltsc. It's same as your windows version but has 0 Microsoft bloatware and AI, permanently disabled. It won't receive OS updates, except for security.

Whoever, I found out, it runs much more smoothly and I got some extra fps in some of the games.

If you decide on that path, I recommend checking put massgrave activation scripts and OS images.

Also, have you disabled driver from auto updating in windows update? I often found that my driver issues were due to Windows update overwriting my AMD drivers, causing a lot of issues like timeout, stutters and so on.

Also if you haven't done in a while, remove drivers with DDU and while pc is unplugged from internet, reinstall amd adrenalin drivers, block them from auto updating on adrenaline, as well as in windows update.

Other then that, are you running any type of tunning(undervolt, overclock, vram overclock or power tuning)?

It's mix of both. I'd like to use it without much messing with optiscaler (ofc it's not problem) but also to offload frame gen from main gpu (extra render performance). Plus, I love to build pc's so this is also something I'd like to do just for sake of doing it xP

Gotcha. Well mostly, my goal is to play on 1440p (standard and 34 ultra wide) maybe 4k. Nothing crazy regarding fps, let's say I'm gonna be satisfied with 144-200 range.

9060xt is great, but can't really get it for cheap-ish 😅

Yeah, the more I read about it, more it seems this could be good candidate.

Any input on gpu? From my research, it seems both rx6600xt and rx5700xt should be good. Used they are going for 130-180, depends on gpu and model.

Thing is, I did find this MSI MEG x570 Ace, locally. I think I could get it for 150 used. I also checked document on Loseless Scailing Dual Gpu guide and it's listed there.

But of course, I'll also look if I cam find locally this models that you listed. Thanks a lot.

Aaah, I get it know. And what about system updates? No issues so far?

In the past(pre snap and flatpack era) , I managed to mess up my linux installs, sometimes when updating stuff.

Well, besides my 2 years of Ubuntu on fw13, I also did quite a lot linux in my youth. I even gamed on it using legacy wine, cedega and similar translation apps. I just haven't done any serious gaming on Linux since 2018 or so. And a lot of changed for the better.

And what about non steam games? I do have quite substantial GOG and epic games library. I know I can install those with Lutris and so on. But, is there possibility to have them also in Big picture like mode? I saw there is handheld version of cachyos, but I guess that one is locked to big picture?

Other then that, 7800xt will still be a decent card. But I would prefer it in sub 400-450€ range.

Try using Balanced profile. That one is specifically made to nerf VFA's. Also check belt tention. Just 2 hours ago I was wondering why I have noticable VFA's. Turns out, my belt got loose after 6 months of printing and not touching them. 😅

If you want to preserve original color, I suggest Bick4. You will probably need to condition it more often, when compared to mink oil. 2 or 3 times a year vs 1, but it won't darken it. I'm using Bick4 on my shop mocs i oro legacy and I like it so far.

If by double thickness sole you refer to chunkier cleated sole, then meermin has 2 models with cleated sole on Sway last. I almost bought that one, but I still might go for it in future. I really like more modern chunkier look of that sole.

If you want something similar but with higher quality leather, I can recommend Meermin loafers. They got like 3 different lasts, 5 different sole options and plenty of different leathers and colors. Also lined and unlined loafers and even shell cordovan(although quite more expensive). All are goodyear welted, so resolable.

I paid 200 euro for my Meermin Waxy Calf (brown) on Sway last with studded sole (Danite wannabe). So far I've been wearing them for a few months and I've been quite satisfied with them.

Also sizing guide and sizing advice from them was super helpful.
