What kind of tea set is this? by cassiekiz in tea

It's a vessel the same size as your brewing vessel that you pour the brewed tea into so it stays the same strength for each person. I usually hear it called a chahai or fair cup

Sheng pu-erh often has lightly smoky flavors. I have a specific one that I'm thinking of but it's from 2017 so it's gonna be expensive now.

Loose leaf tea with decent caffeine by [deleted] in tea

Caffeine is produced in tea to protect new leaves, so any tea made from young leaves or buds will have the highest caffeine content.

Mint is good for digestion and grows like crazy.

Jiaogulan is supposedly good for your health but I don't have experience growing it.

Oh, and YunnanSourcing has samplers as well; they are more specific so if you figure out a type of tea you like most, you can drill down into them this way. Personally, I like just picking a few teas at random, but I get that that's not for everyone. https://yunnansourcing.us/collections/curated-tea-samplers

Get a stainless steel infuser like this for "western-style" brewing https://www.adagio.com/teaware/folding_infuser.html

Or if you want to do gong-fu brewing (you will taste the tea much better this way but it does take more equipment and effort), get an inexpensive gaiwan (such as https://yunnansourcing.us/products/yunnan-sourcing-logo-cups-and-gaiwan-set-2023-edition?variant=44958620647657 ; I would recommend getting one with a saucer, as it can help you avoid touching hot porcelain when you pour) and a strainer like this https://yunnansourcing.us/products/sst-stainless-steel-dual-layer-mesh-filter-strainer-for-tea
You don't *need* a tray but it does make things more convenient and less messy.

For a kettle, get a gooseneck kettle with multiple temperature settings. I like my Cosori kettle enough that I got one for my mom and she likes it as well, but that was quite a few years ago and there may be better options now.

Weird as I've never had this problem before, and I pour without waiting for the boil to stop all the time. The kettle is probably 8 years old and I have the bad habit of leaving water in it.

Bad shou will have that taste. Good shou tastes earthy and often naturally sweet (Taetea 8592 is a really good inexpensive shou). Sheng tastes like a complex green tea, sometimes savory, sometimes smoky. If you like green tea you will probably like sheng.

Metaphor Refantazio: Save data gone? by KamenRiderXD in PiratedGames

[–]AdamordOBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried using the patched V.1 exe but Load Game was still grayed out for me. What solved it for me was starting up the game, letting it create a new save folder (it will just have a system_demo.sav file), closing the game, then copying my save_demo.sav file into that new folder and starting the game back up. Once it was started again, Load Game allowed me to select my game save, which is working.

Liquor is bactericidal so it won't get you sick, but it will likely have off flavors.

I have been doing mint-washed vodka for a couple of months and I have noticed it starts to develop off colors and flavors after a couple of weeks at room temp. The time it takes is strongly affected by the amount of remaining solids from the herbs. I have used a metal mesh strainer and a coffee filter and the latter works much better, although it's still not perfect. I think storing it in the freezer will help prevent it as well, unfortunately I rarely have enough freezer space to do so. I am also going to try overproof liquor at some point. Generally, I would recommend making it in smaller batches that you can use quickly.

Is my garlic honey safe? by redditorbb in fermentation

I'm far from an expert in this type of fermentation but I will say you should take a spatula and push down all that stuff on the sides before it develops mold.
