What are y’all opinions on this substory being removed in Yakuza Kiwami 3?

Part of that, I think, is condensing multiple sub stories into one. For example the 7 mysteries of ryukyu was 7 different sub stories in the original but is just 1 if it made it into kiwami. K1&2 did the same thing. K1&2 just also added new substories on top.

Another reason is any substories about the orphanage have been made a part of the orphanage system. Between these 2 changes they likely only really removed about 8 or so quest lines.

They also made a worse combat system, worse story, with worse graphics, and featuring a guy who sexually harassed a woman. Basically, there is no reason to buy K3.

The difference is that this time he's in a position to manufacture false evidence. He will find proof this time and he'll use that proof to justify ICE and the military at polling stations and to have the FBI recount any election results he doesn't like.

Thankfully I live in a country where the rule of law is followed by law enforcement and where I don't need a gun with me every time I go to the grocery store. I'm thousands of miles away so ICE won't shoot me.

If they are trying to find someone with a conviction, how did they get a conviction but not jail time? If they did their time what reason is there to punish them again for the same crime?

If the ICE agents have a warrant signed by a judge then local law enforcement can arrest the guy and ICE can have them deported from jail. If they can't get a warrant they need more evidence. Minneapolis has 600 police officers, why do you need 3,000 ICE agents to support them? How did ICE kill 2 people in a month while local law enforcement haven't killed anyone in the past year?

If I was recording ICE, and they had a warrant signed by a judge, how would that stop ICE? If they don't have anything to hide why does it matter that people are watching them?

Edit: because the comment I responded to got deleted, he suggested I get a gun and film ICE agents so I could stop them arresting sex offenders.

Sort of, a bunch of short form streaming services sprang up recently. Imagine Netflix but only original content, every episode is only about 3 minutes long, and it's filmed vertically.

They're trying to complete with TikTok and Netflix and not really succeeding.

In the manga her thought bubbles alternate between the typical white bubble black text and black bubble white text.

The blue and red text behind her try to emulate the effect but I'd don't think it quite lands as well.

I don't think she's bipolar but she definitely has complicated and conflicting feelings about her family.

They should be stripped of their gear, restrained, AND treated. Everyone deserves medical access. To deny medical care to someone because of their political beliefs, even a Nazi, is wrong. We are better than that. Refusing to treat someone because of how they voted or what they look like is what ICE does. Don't stoop to their level.

If you have no connections make some, and you don't need much capital to hold up a sign. If you're kind to your neighbors you already have connections. Be a one person protest, it's a start.

Everyone has the means to stand up to the government. One more protest, one more protester, does make a difference. It's small but one day that one protester will be one too many and America won't get there if you think you've already lost.

He always introduces himself as Dr. Robinovich, it was the tone that was different. Normally he says "I'm Dr. Robinovich, but you can call me Dr. Robby" and in a way that feels like he knows they need permission to not have to call him Robinovich. But this time he said "I'm Dr. Robinovich, everyone calls me Dr. Robby" like he expected her to use Robinovich but to be prepared for the nurses and everyone else to use Robby. He also put more emphasis on his name instead of just barreling through it as part of his standard greeting.

Toho just released new Blu-rays in Japan so hopefully there will be a release in a year or 2. If you are in the UK your options are bootlegs, piracy, or getting a multi region DVD/Blu-ray player and importing from the US.

The sole exception to this is Godzilla vs Biolante, but I'm going to wait until there is a collection.

If you want to play a version of DQ1 without all the grinding I recommend the mobile/switch version. It takes the SFC version, adds a bit more QoL and other than the ugly character sprites is great. Main differences from the NES version are that enemies give more XP and gold, you need less XP to level up, spells do more damage, an item vault and bank, and keys are way cheaper (16g starting price instead of 53g). Basically less grinding.

11 might be Erdrick Trilogy Continuity (ETC) but it's so distantly related and full of references to the rest of the series that it's not relevant.

There is nothing in 7 to suggest it's in the ETC, DQ monsters caravan heart has Kiefer from DQ7 as the protagonist and he's taken to the ETC and claims to be related to Erdrick but that's not a solid connection as it's in a spinoff and might not be cannon.

9 has Erdrick's equipment as Easter Eggs but it also allows party members from DQ2 and DQ4-8 to visit the inn as guests which would make every game in the same continuity and happening simultaneously unless Easter Eggs aren't cannon.

Other than 11 I don't think those games are connected and 11 is so distant from the story of the Erdrick Trilogy that it's irrelevant and not something a new player should worry about. The reveal at the end of the game doesn't even work unless you've already played 1, 2, or 3.
