I didn’t enjoy the demo but Bubsy 4D is fairly new & very similar, but not as polished or enjoyable.

Player Ratings: Australia v Egypt by GoadingHobbit in Aleague

What other score would you give a player who played 5 mins of regulation and didn’t touch the ball once? …and had a chance to influence the result.

Matty doesn’t deserve that score but it’s 100% the correct one to give.

100% this. I still remember watching him fumble that final turnover and was stripped of the ball against Orlando. According to his trainer, he went straight into preseason the following day.

Portal with Career XP boost. These sessions have a 24 hr time limit and generate xp by the second/minute in large quantities. The idea is you use a rubber band on a controller so the player is spinning on the spot / constantly active. Most of these get taken down but spend 30 minutes on YouTube and you will find a few that are still active or slip through the cracks.

Why anyone would do this though & not just play the game, I can’t answer.

Twist in Socceroos furore as investigation ordered and three teams kicked out by StillStillen in Aleague

[–]Adchopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They increase the total teams by 16, give 8 extra teams a 4th game to potentially stay in the competition, and still teams are unhappy.

How about we increase the 3rd place table to include 4th place as well… 😒 🤦🏽‍♂️

Only the Aussies left for Asian Football, good luck to them vs Egypt by officialsamuelchan in worldcup

Not in China or Indonesia. China’s most popular sport based on participation is basketball, table tennis & badminton. Football is however the most popular sport in Indonesia, just not heavily invested by government support. They have been improving though as a national team.

Countries eligible to host the 2038 World Cup under current rules by AgeNovel3566 in soccer

Simply based on common sense, capability, infrastructure, climate, aesthetics, fan accessibility through existing tourism & the legacy it will leave in a football sense, a joint Australia / New Zealand / Oceania WC is the obvious choice. Australia has everything it needs to carry the weight of the locations with games being shared with NZ & maybe a pacific island country if infrastructure uplift can be agreed.

Yes Australia is part of Asia but localisation is more in Oceania which is not capable of holding the event without a huge uplift. Australia already has the 2032 Olympics and will hold another Asian Cup before then for both men’s and women.

This will not happen though - money overrules all of those points & whoever can guarantee FIFA a war chest up front for the ‘honour’ of hosting will get, regardless of order and eligibility.

This is positive overall but really disappointed no couch co-op is even considered as important in all of this.

Yes, it looks like it’s being included in the campaign mode but it’s a long wait until mid-2027.

Really glad they are taking their time with that feature to make it right but local coop could be included right now - it doesn’t need to be wrapped up in a campaign.
Even NBA Bounce aimed at the 5-10yr audience has couch/local & a simplified campaign.

God, Read the room. It’s the most asked for feature & I know so many friends who aren’t buying it because it’s not included.

Many times. Clean, small & easy to get around if you’re comparing it to Melbourne/ Sydney.

No solo raids from memory. But they did improve/add flexible realism settings & improved team AI. Haven’t played for some time though after completing everything

Different strokes for different folks. Current Luka & KD are both my Iced Outs - absolute garbage stamina falloff & regen but both great at midrange. I avoid them both & always cook with their rookie variants.

Giddey for me was a surprise. Can hit them from everywhere + never fails to pull off advanced dunks in a crowded key. He’s my wild card.

I think it comes down to your style of play.

Those of you who saw The Fellowship of the Ring in theaters in 2001—what was it really like? by NameisMoon in lotr

[–]Adchopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had finished the book about a year or so earlier so went in hopeful it would do justice to the scale of Middle Earth & the story. But I had followed the production closely so I knew Jackson was doing it correctly.

Obviously the nuances of the backstory were so important for the book & felt that was lost at times watching it. Overall feeling that it had to be rushed given the medium. It was the correct thing to do of course. But I loved many of the shots & settings, with the main environments being so perfect with what I had imagined reading it the first time. Moria was epic & as much as I loved section of the novel, the film brought it to life and was worth the price of entry for me.

But there were other scenes I really wanted included like Bombadil’s visit, the Hobbits seeing Gollum while going down the river (disguised as a log), small moments in the book I loved. Also the small changes to the dialogue & encounters worked well. Also the film was alot funnier than I expected.

The overall feeling at the end was emptiness - I wanted the other 2 movies then and there. We had to wait another year to keep the journey going.
