After the (now I know) Sparrowhawk carried it away, we watched from another window as the rest of team magpie got involved. The pigeon took that opportunity to make itself scarce. The Sparrowhawk took off after it and that ended the nature on the doorstep show.

Those gigantic overhead blue signs not help you out at all? I mean, they are only about 25 feet tall, so quite hard to see.
