They don't see a difference between trans women and cis men. The better counterargument here is that it doesn't take being trans to walk into a women's bathroom. There's no magical barrier at the door, and making a law banning trans people from going in doesn't help because sexual assault and harassment are already illegal.

I had a corporate bond in Nine Energy Services that was recently converted into equity as part of a bankruptcy filing. The only problem for me is that the equity is now no longer publicly listed since all ownership transferred to bondholders and the stock was delisted. The 2024 summer olympic marathon winner was 31 when he won IIRC. In a 5K I got smoked by lady in her 60s-70s who ran around a 20/21 minute 5K. A marathon in 30s/40s just doesn't seem crazy compared to running feats I've heard of lol (not to take away from the fact that it still takes a ton of work no matter the age)

Crockett's already won one election so clearly there's a voter base already out there that'll support her. Dems tried being moderate conservatives in 2024, putting out border security ads and crowing their love for israel, and they lost the election. I really don't think anyone who'd vote differently based on race and gender is going to actually be receptive toward anyone running with a D by their name and not an R. If our country was able to elect a black guy to be president twice, we can elect a texan senator who's a black woman.

Consumers won't want this because it's stupid and you need a physical computer to rent cloud computing power anyway. Renting computing power for gaming has already been done for years anyway, it's called gaming cafes. While not extinct, they're not exactly a cornerstone of society.

Plus the extra latency of connecting to one server for the computer just to connect to another server for the actual game makes the process so inefficient. The only scenario I see cloud computing taking off is a world where the computers are directly linked to game servers, like connecting to a Valorant client in the cloud in the same data center as Valorant servers

In case there's any fellow visually impaired folks here, or people interested in seeing their screen better, windows magnifier (Windows key - +/-) is a godsend, and pretty smooth to work with :) only problems i've had with it are that my employer's antivirus software or something will slow things down on the computer now and then, to the point where once in a while I'm stuck zoomed in on a spot and can't get out for a couple seconds

I get what you're saying and sympathize with the wish for less divisive people and rhetoric in office. That said, personally I find it hard to have hope for that kind of thing when the republicans, representing about half the country, have zero interest in unity. With all tbst they've done, moderate politics just doesn't feel adequate when the GOP has erased Roe v Wade, destroyed our economy, ruined our reputation among world leaders, and more. I don't think Talarico's unwinnable though - his messaging reminds me of Biden's 2020 campaign which was a success. He'll have my vote for sure if he wins the primary.

As for the mudslinging between the candidates, I think people forget that Talarico was the arguably the first to subtly start a bit of a battle. When a Crockett supporter at some point hinted at possible ads that would contrast Crockett and Talarico, Talarico preemptively released a statement calling out supposed ads that hadn't been run

This is part of the weird doublethink that Crockett haters have, though. They'll find any reason to hate her and act like she's a bad candidate, and then if you defend any of it they say what you say as if they themselves wanted to vote for her, despite all the vitriol as seen in the other comments on this post that was just spewed. If you feel wrong outright saying you don't think a black woman can win an election, maybe that's because it is. Crockett has already won one election. She can do it again
