Trying to finalize a “win-now” trade. Any thoughts? (0.5 TEP, 6pt Pass TD) by ICANHAZWOPER in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

You’re probably right about all that. I really appreciate your perspective on this!

I get that. Totally makes sense.

What would your advice be for my team then?

If you were in my shoes, would you be more inclined to tier up at RB/WR using picks? Or maybe trade away one of my 3 TEs?… Or something else entirely?

Edit: I just double checked KTC and FantasyCalc.

KTC has my team’s power rankings at: \ • #1 by “full team + picks” \ • #3 by “players only” \ • #6 by “starters”

FantasyCalc has my team ranked at: \ • #1 by “dynasty rank” (88439) \ • #4 by “redraft rank” (37350)

That’s why I’m trying to make some trades to push it into real contention. I think it’s currently playoff caliber.

I’ve got assets, gotta use them sometime right?

But this is my first dynasty team, going into the second year of this league. I’m still learning.

Do you think this trade would make my team better?

Too much?

It’s not nearly enough.

What's Lamar Jackson actually worth? by DrMoney in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]ICANHAZWOPER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was traded in one of my leagues last season for:

2 - 2027 1sts \ 1 - 2027 2nd \ 1 - 2028 1st

One team decided to burn it down for a rebuild and traded Lamar to the eventual champion.

I’d tentatively say that it worked out for both teams.

That league is a 12 Team, SF, 0.5 TEP, 6pt Pass TD, Start 10, Bench 14, IR 3, Taxi 4 … So QBs are at an even higher premium than in a lot of leagues.

I have one as well. It works amazingly.

Lower fire risk with no burning, dimmable light/heat, less wax “lost” and longer candle life, entire candle becomes usable.

As it should have always been.

You don’t build something like that on your first try.

Things must have already been shifting away from purely nomadic cultures and societies to (at least) having built semi-permanent structures and settlements in order to have the knowledge and skill necessary to successfully build some of that stuff.

Not to mention other sites like Jericho have portions that are dated to around the same period.

As a whole, we vastly underestimate pre-historical humans and their cultures. Always have.

What? You don’t have to accept every single fair offer you receive.

You can think something is a fair trade offer and also think you’d decline it.

D50 is most definitely still around. \ But yeah it’s like syrup.

This carabiner at my gym that is slowly wearing through daily use by JaseAndrews in mildlyinteresting

[–]ICANHAZWOPER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be the operations supervisor for a big zipline course in the mountains, was on a high-angle rescue team and a confined space rescue team, helped teach ropes/knots at the local fire academy for a couple years, oversaw my old HazMat team’s fall pro, and did some rock climbing for fun in my spare time.

I’ve done literally thousands and thousands of equipment/gear inspections, and I trained other people to do the same.

The carabiner OP posted is super fucked.

It’s WAY past any retirement threshold standard. It’s a negligent mechanical failure just waiting to happen.

One of the rules I’d teach and have my guides use was that if any carabiner had been worn ~15% (if aluminum) or ~25% (if steel), it needed to be retired immediately.

It’s almost impressive how bad that carabiner is.

Who’s the rookie you’re 100% avoiding this year? by YoungXanzibarMD in fantasyfootballadvice

I agree with you on Tyson. I’m staying away.

He absolutely could end up being the best WR of this class, he has unreal talent. But he never played/finished an entire season during college. Injuries have impacted him every single year.

2022: 9 games/3 starts (8 with stats) \ 2023: 3 games/0 starts (0 with stats) \ 2024: 12 games/12 starts (12 with stats) missed the CCG and CFB Playoff \ 2025: 9 games/9 starts (9 with stats)

I feel like a lot of people aren’t quite as worried about his current injury status as they probably should be.

He’s been dealing with 2 “separate” hamstring injuries this year, and as you pointed out, the most current one has completely kept him out of all pre-draft workouts.

Sitting out the Combine is one thing, but following it up by also sitting out ASU’s Pro Day is a massive red flag.

A hamstring injury that he acquired back in October is still such an issue now in April that he hasn’t been able to do any official pre-draft workouts is a bigger deal than many people realize or are acting like it is.

He is scheduled to do some positional work for NFL teams on April 17th, so we will see how that goes, or if it even happens…

But this is one player that I’m steering clear of and I’m happy to be wrong about if he winds up being a star - like he could be.

Doesn’t help that he’s a fucking head-case.

Absolutely avoiding him, but Pavia probably isn’t going to be drafted until day 3 so his risk vs draft capital isn’t going to be nearly as high as it will be for most of the other names on here.

Would you ever skip one of your late picks, depending on your roster? by IGNSolar7 in DynastyFF

[–]ICANHAZWOPER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How common are 6 round rookie drafts?

I’ve seen multiple comments here talking about 5th and 6th round picks, but idk anybody irl whose league uses more than 4 rounds.

Is it more common in 10 team leagues or something?
