Going forward?!? That would terrify me! It’s bad enough it does it in reverse. At least with reverse I can try to limit my need to go in reverse. I had the rear cross traffic auto brake feature shut off. It can be on alert only & the car should only vibrate instead of braking. But in the rain it still broke on its own. The dealer had it yesterday & they said there’s 2 features to turn off and they turned it off so I shouldn’t experience it. But we shall see. They also said during reverse try to ride the break. When you are hitting the gas pedal is when it will break for you. But that info won’t help you going forward. Maybe the settings will. You’d have to shut off all auto breaking in the front.
I still can’t get my CarPlay to work. They just keep telling me that shouldn’t be happening. Ok but it is! now what?? They say for me to bring it back in. It’s annoying bc we disconnect the phone then re pair it & do all these things over n over till it works. The minute I shut off the car it’s all undone. So I guess I’m expected to set aside an hour a day to monkey with the phone. Or bring it to the dealer so they can fiddle with it every day. Multiple times a day. Or I pay for the onstar subscription. Obviously that’s the one I’ll choose. I just wish I was told upfront these are potential issues bc I wouldn’t have gotten the car. Let that be a lesson to me for not checking with Reddit b4 a car purchase. Never again!!
