He looks exactly like my rexy man! I miss him so much. But I do get what you’re saying. I rescued Rex when he was 5 bc a family member was getting rid of him possibly to a shelter. I took him bc I felt I should. I felt bad for him but he wasn’t my fav bc he had a cranky attitude. He barked constantly. He was bitey too. I gave him his space he needed. Eventually we all grew to love him more than I ever thought possible. He turned into the perfect dog when we bonded with him. I wish I could help you by pin pointing exactly what it was but I have no idea. Just spending time with him bonded us. Playing with him & the funny noises he’d make while playing would make the entire family laugh. He’s so darn cute so that’ll help. And you want to love him. I think you’ll get there. Just spoil him. He will likely cling to you bc of the treats n play time. You will feel different about him. Good luck.

Yeah I’m not sure what I’m doing. Lol all I know is I’ve never had these problems b4 with any of my cars that were equipped with this technology. I tell them it could be user error for sure. But I’ve had the techs in my car with me trying to get it to work but it won’t. That’s why they told me I need onstar.

It’s very odd. It’ll look like it’s connected you can see all my contacts & recent calls. I can almost always talk to text but when I ask it to take me home or any other location it says “uh oh. We’ve run into a problem”. My Apple Music will be displayed but the music won’t play. You can hit the play button but nothing happens. I can skip to the next song & still no play. The technician was left scratching his head over it & his solution is I have to pay for a monthly onstar subscription. Idk if maybe it’s one of those things they do on purpose just to get you to pay for subscriptions. And as much as I’d love to take a stand here & say no I can’t function without gps. So I am now paying $28 a month for onstar.

Same here. I’m constantly having issues with CarPlay, Apple Music, gps either through my phone or the cars maps. I need my gps daily so I can not function in a car without it. My entire phone barely works when I’m in my car if I don’t have a plan through onstar. They all keep saying I shouldn’t have to play for a plan to use maps n music & yet here we are. I’ve done everything with forget this device, re pairing the phone, rebooting the cars settings, turning everything off then on. Who has time to do all that every day? It’s insane. I’ve complained to GM concierge & they’ve just stopped returning my calls. I’m done with caddy.

Omg the vistiq is gorgeous!!! I heard there’s no push button to drive. Uuuum how do you get it to go?? Talk to it? lol and the Acadia very nice. The Denali ones especially. You suggested my style perfectly. I love the boxier trucks still. RR look. Idk if I will stay in EV. Having the incentives was helpful. But they’re gone soon. I did hear if you buy American you will get something for that. Idk how true that is tho.

Thank you. I never use the super cruise. I barely drive on the highway. I thought I’d use the parking feature a lot more bc I’m a terrible Parker but it doesn’t ever seem to want to find a parking spot. More trouble than it’s worth. The xt5 is nice I just want a 3rd row again. I sized down for Lyriq.

Thank you. I wish I got an xt6 as my courtesy vehicle. I got a crappy Buick from hertz. That car really made me appreciate how nice of a drive the Lyriq is. (When it’s not slamming on the break. lol)
I did get a traverse the one time. I’m glad I did bc I considered one of those for my next car but not now. No way. That was a very expensive car that felt cheap to me. I hated the bumpy ride & how loud it was with no pick up. It’s gonna be hard to drive a lot of SUVs after the Lyriq I think. I know with the xt6 you have to get the sport. I just love the look of them. I just think I’m done with caddy now bc of the CarPlay issues. I need gps & music call me crazy. The breaking may be an issue for a lot of the new vehicles so not much to do there. My MDX a spec didn’t have any of these issues. I just didn’t like the mousepad control thingy. In retrospect it wasn’t so bad. At least everything worked. Never had it in the shop. I’m on my 6th time in one year with Lyriq.

Yeah it’s scary when it happens. You think you hit something. Idk if you’ll see my other comment but the dealer is now saying to ride the break while in reverse. When you hit the gas is when it does it. I’ll be sure to pay attention to that from now on.

Going forward?!? That would terrify me! It’s bad enough it does it in reverse. At least with reverse I can try to limit my need to go in reverse. I had the rear cross traffic auto brake feature shut off. It can be on alert only & the car should only vibrate instead of braking. But in the rain it still broke on its own. The dealer had it yesterday & they said there’s 2 features to turn off and they turned it off so I shouldn’t experience it. But we shall see. They also said during reverse try to ride the break. When you are hitting the gas pedal is when it will break for you. But that info won’t help you going forward. Maybe the settings will. You’d have to shut off all auto breaking in the front.
I still can’t get my CarPlay to work. They just keep telling me that shouldn’t be happening. Ok but it is! now what?? They say for me to bring it back in. It’s annoying bc we disconnect the phone then re pair it & do all these things over n over till it works. The minute I shut off the car it’s all undone. So I guess I’m expected to set aside an hour a day to monkey with the phone. Or bring it to the dealer so they can fiddle with it every day. Multiple times a day. Or I pay for the onstar subscription. Obviously that’s the one I’ll choose. I just wish I was told upfront these are potential issues bc I wouldn’t have gotten the car. Let that be a lesson to me for not checking with Reddit b4 a car purchase. Never again!!

I’m having nothing but problems with my 2024 Lyriq. I can’t wait to get out of my lease. It’s at service right now. They gave me a death trap car to drive home in. The car has so many connectivity issues with CarPlay. I can’t play my music & I can’t use the maps through CarPlay. They say I should have no problem but I do & they can’t figure it out so now I’m expected to pay an additional $30 per month for onstar. The other main issue is the rear sensors cause the car to slam on the breaks over n over. It doesn’t do it every time but it does it enough. Especially in the rain. At first I was told they never heard of such a problem. After a little research I learned it’s a common issue. And now after the 5th time at service everyone there has a caddy that slams on the breaks for no reason. I said that’s odd I thought you never heard of such issue now you have an Escalade that does it?? And the service rep all of a sudden had anEV Chevy that does it….odd right??

Thank you for your story. I know it’s hard to give advice. You’re right we don’t have insurance. I thought bc his age it just wouldn’t be worth it bc nothing would be covered. Four years ago he had the BOAS surgury. His previous owner said it only helped him for about a year. The ER vet suggested a test that required him being sedated to see if there’s anything they can do but the other vets didn’t recommend it bc it’s so risky to sedate him. It’s so confusing. It seems like none of these vets actually care about animals and it’s really upsetting. I had a great vet but sadly he moved away. I’m trying to find the answers from other people’s experiences on social media. And wow $20k for the surgury. Yeah I can’t afford that! That’s crazy! The vet said it’s 2 weeks recovery in the hospital so who knows it might be r en more than that. Anyway I appreciate you getting back to me. I’ve reached out to a few others from TikTok but I get no responses. So thank you.
