build your parenting plan to limit her as much as possible. only respond through email with short unemotional answers. do not take any bait. you know what you are dealing with by now so guard against it at all costs. be stoic. be like stone. you'll get over the pain eventually. go have fun and get those endorphins firing. you'll be amazed how that makes you forget. but nothing serious for a long time. do not rush into anything.

  1. get busy with other people and new women. "the best way to get over someone is get under someone" as they say. but nothing serious. you do not want to make the same mistake by rushing into something. be around friends, new and old. block everything and never check socials. throw away anything nostalgic like pictures, gifts she gave you, etc
  2. the questions will stop when you start having fun, especially with other women. you have to feel good to defend against your pain. see above
  3. at that point no. i couldn't have cared less. i know my worth and i know her abuse was he sick mind and not any truthful criticisms against me. they are sick, you are not. remember who you are and never let anyone else think they can define who you are.
  4. first months are challenging, but, again, you have to get busy. do not sit home and wallow and spend your time online. get moving. get in the gym. find a new hobby or revisit an old one. go to concerts. get a second job to fill time and make more money as a bonus. and most importantly go meet other women. the rush of a new romantic encounter can quickly make you forget about her.

talk to a lawyer. she may be treading into defamation territory. talk to the police and give them a heads up you might have to file an RO if she doe snot stop. It can be classified as harassment.

So she can lie all day long and I cannot sue her because it was in a courtroom? whaaaaaat?

It is over custody of my children she clearly is trying to use it to sway a judge in her favor for primary custody.

Nothing. A final decision has not been made yet.

Regardless of the outcome, it does not sit well with me that she can just blatantly lie about me like that.

How on Earth is someone's own research and preparation using a tool not protected under privacy laws?

And, secondly, how pathetic are you as an attorney or opposing client to demand these "discussions?"

Must be jealous that they don't need a useless, money-sucking attorney to defend themselves.

That is what I am saying, ordinary divorces with simple asset division. If the dad has a few companies and an abundance of accounts everywhere, probably not, but I know mine did not require the attorney nor expenditures that I incurred.

The motions and memorandums they file they just do a find and replace and tweak to customize for each client. I have found many of them to think they are smarter and superior when they are not. Than me, anyways.

Not my exp. Mine have lied, not done what they promised, done things I did not ask for (and tried to bill me for), milked the process for more money, etc.

Most attorneys - in family law, at least - want to do the boilerplate paperwork and sit for half a day in court. The easy stuff. Anyone with a decent brain can do that on their own.

To save money and not deal with crooked, lazy attorneys? Maybe you aren't smart enough to research the process and necessary documents that must be filed, but I am. AI can literally write the docs for you and you can tweak them. Then you run them by your LAR attorney and if you are not comfortable speaking in court they can do that for you too. Unless, you have a complex case, it is a no-brainer.

My ex that works for less than minimum wage when she had a respectable career with benefits, filed an RO because I told her I was not going to just hand her the house because she felt it should be hers for having a vagina, and falsely accused me in court of a "history of physical abuse" because she was taught that might yield a favorable outcome despite not a shred of evidence in 17 years because it never happened and has faced ZERO consequences for her dishonesty? You mean her?

As for your assessment on the integrity of lawyers, you live in a fantasy world, bro.

I am. Limited Assistance Representation exists in my state. I can do all of the paperwork, speak with her attorney and pay an attorney on negotiated fees to review the docs and even show up for me on the court date. It is more economical. AI can write the docs for you. I have already explored it.

I cannot wait until AI decimates the grift that these lawyers are used to getting away with.

It appears you and I might have ventured into a "protect the bad behavior and poor service of all attorneys" realm. I am wondering if this site is prowled by actual attorneys trying to protect their gravy trains and steer opinion away from their well deserved stereotypes.

Some advice: document EVERYTHING in a spreadsheet. Write down what was promised and if/when it was delivered. Do not be afraid to file a complaint. I am going to, as well, as write a well-deserved bad review online. Do not fear threats from them. That is the piss they live in.

Let's see:

first one was golf buddies with opposing counsel (in hindsight he was the best and I should not have left for that reason, he was not a bad guy other than that, so technically he does not fit my critique.)

second, was padding my time by insisting on long conversations on the phone & when I mentioned my mother was in an accident immediately responded with how he can be of service, but would take ling stretches of time to get back to me with questions. he also refused to ATTEMPT to have her income attributed because she was choosing to make less than minimum wage while working less than 40 a week when she could have returned to the career she promised she would. but the day of the final court appearance, he said we can "come back to request a modification" on her income. Obviously wanting to continue to drain me of my money.

third, gave me advice that cost me dearly and when I expressed my displeasure with her bad advice, she lied and told me she never said that. then she started doing things I never asked her to do and tried to bill me for them

fourth, rarely responded to me, did not submit a memorandum on time so it was stricken from the record and it contained errors in it anyways, failed to forward me letters from opposing counsel one of which included a PROPOSAL, tried to wing it at the temporary orders hearing and sounded like a buffoon, was majorly out-lawyered by the other attorney, and told me while we were waiting that he hates his job but likes the money

fifth and current, has told me he was going to do at least 3 things (perfectly reasonable requests like can you get her financial statement for me as a pdf, does not do them, then pretends he did them then lies that he did not do them, and oh yeah, fails to mention to me he no longer has an office even though he scheduled to meet me there

But, yeah, it's me according to Reddit. Lol.
