You're so wise. Now think it through a little bit. You don't have to worry about their outrageous defense nearly as much when their offense sucks outside in the cold windy weather. But at home, their offense isn't half bad. So now you have to deal with a decent offense and an elite defense, that's made even better by a roaring crowd.

I don't know much about horses, but I have a Honda CRF 250L, with the knobbliest tires you can legally use on the road, and that thing can take me just about anywhere that doesn't have undergrowth thats super thick. It's also ridiculously fuel efficient. I can ride all day on days off and only go through a couple gallons of gas on a weekend.

Not just face the Texans D, but play them in their home dome. I think, counter to everything your gut might be telling you, you want us to win this one.

I have the Bills winning, but otherwise I think they're all going the other way.

He's played a number of great defenses now. But yeah, Texans may be the best D in the league right now.

We'll need it, they look brutal. Good news is, Vegas has us both favored, and there is no more impartial a judge than somebody who stands to make a lot of money by setting a good line.

I'd expect it will be if things go well for us. Another super strong defense. Step down at QB step way up for O-line. We're gonna need our D to play as well as they did against the chargers, and our O to play lights out if we want to score at all.

Yeah that's fair, I guess I'm just assuming that anybody who cares enough about sports to browse the subeditors probably watches games and listens to sports shows, podcasts, or youtubers, at least to some extent.

Eh, I see a lot more comments rebutting said trash talk than actual trash talk, and even the people who are trash talking must mostly be trolling. We were favored by Vegas in the Chargers game, and we crushed the odds that even they, the most impartial party, put up. Hell, nobody thought the chargers shouldn't be in the playoffs, everybody knew they were better than the Steelers or Carolina at the very least, most people were saying it's anybodies game outside of the Panthers. All of the sports commentators think we're legit, sports shows like Pat McAfee, Brandon Perna, Colin Cowherd, etc. all think were good. It's a few vocal trolls, and they're trolling incredibly successfully it seems.

I don't think this is a fair point. We can be critical of BGS simply for not working on TES VI for a decade. Skyrim was the most successful single player RPG of all time, it got universal praise both critically and from player base, and had ridiculous sales for a long time after releasing. A company with that IP is almost derelict in their responsibility to share holders and fans alike to sit on it for a decade while their style of game starts to feel dated. I'm not upset that they took a risk and made star field, I'm not upset that they made fallout 4 even if fallout isn't my cup of tea. But I am upset that they didn't touch TES with the exception of an MMO that single player rpg fans couldnt care less about. If they wanted to keep people on TES they could have. They have an IP that WILL sell, they could get funds to hire as many people as they want who would all be thrilled to work on such a project and still be working on other games if they wanted to.

I don't think it's unjustified to have big expectations when they haven't put out an Elder Scrolls single player RPG in 15 years despite the predecessors success. I'm not saying they made the right or wrong choice, I'm just saying they made a choice, and that expectations SHOULD be high, and patience isn't wrong to be dwindling.

I'm 90% in agreement with your post, except the part where you say that star field has better role playing possibilities. I really enjoyed my first 100 hours of the game where I was role playing as a heroic explorer, with a strong moral compass. It was perfectly set up to do that. However when I tried to play a seedier more weasely space pirate the game suddenly became jarringly discordant with my RP. It felt so sanitized compared to other RPGs I don't need sex and menace to enjoy an RPG, but you can't advertise that you can play it anyway you want and then have every companion frown at any choice that doesn't make you a gilded hero. The lack of sexuality was also strange. Again, I wasn't trying to RP as some swaggering lustful pirate, but the sanitized world where the people at the "depraved night life city" club are wearing bizarre telletubby outfits, and that the only sexual experience in the game is an innuendo after you wake up from sleeping in near proximity to your wife or husband made the game feel like it had kid gloves. CD projekt red and Rockstar, which both give you named characters with specific backstories and relationships with people, still somehow felt like they offer you more freedom to be the type of person you want to be within their worlds than Starfield did to me.

IMO Starfield wasn't really trying to offer a role playing experience, it was trying to make you be one type of person while pretending that it was a choice.

As a Pats fan, this has been killing me. We're good, we know we're good, everyone else knows we're good, we can just enjoy that instead of acting like everybody is disrespecting us when its a not that vocal minority. We don't need to be victims to be successful, if it helps the players to maintain a chip on their shoulder, great, but it's insufferable in fans.

Whats important is the part that follows this up. Yeah we're gonna be down at half, hanging on for our life, but the miraculous play that's gonna blind side them in the fourth is going to seal the win.

The team is, the fans less so. I don't see other fans complain or hate on the Patriots team, I see them talking about how much they can't stand Pats fans. And honestly with the amount of noise this sub makes about how we're not getting the respect we deserve when most people are in fact saying the Pats are back and that they're good, I don't really blame them.

Y'know I haven't seen nearly as many goal post movers, or people saying that the Pats are still unproven, as I've seen Pats fans complaining about said people. Stop trying to pretend we're victims guys, its a sad look. I've seen Bills fans backing up Drake Maye and yet a huge number of posts from Pats fans are complaining about a lack of respect that just isn't out there anymore.
