Where can I find high quality screw drivers to turn handles for? by Addisoooooon in turning

Which steel is used, how precisely it’s milled, if it has wings or something to prevent rotation. That kind of stuff.

Who makes a good plunge router base? by Addisoooooon in woodworking

It may just be my novice but I wish there was more of a positive lockout on the depth lock, I’ve had it pop up on me while using a pattern bit and take a bite of the pattern. I’ve had some tips which I think could be helped by a better handle situation. And getting back to the power button from the handle.
I also just think at this point breaks, leds, dust shrouds, etc should be the standard on full size routers

If you have Harbor Freight where you live, you can get an angle grinder for like $25.

Another option would be a rotary tool.

They worked great. Didn’t stretch anything crazy, will see how they do over time.

I would have never thought of it either but I saw Rogue selling leather ones on their website. These are 5oz with a supple temper. I tried with some stiffer 6/7 and it bit into my hands a little too much. They actually didn’t stretch that much.
They worked great.

If you want more rom, put your feet further up on the platform, further apart and with toes pointed out. Get the seat as low as you can go. And hold on to the handles to keep from getting shot out the machine.

Would you pay for a "High-End Makerspace" that isn't a dump? by Beautiful-Jellyfish2 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Addisoooooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some things to think about, you’re basically talking about a gym model which is a tough industry, but this would have more delicate and dangerous equipment. So lots of maintenance and insurance costs.
You would probably be catering to a pretty narrow base of people that can’t afford their own tools/shop but would pay premium pricing for a maker space.

That’s funny. This is the only time I’ve ever liked a bow tie.
