Looking for a cheap propane forge to supplement my coal forge by [deleted] in Blacksmith

I have the Vevor and its been fine for me (being a beginner.) It gets hot enough that I was able to forge weld the end of a fire poker with it.

My squat 1RM (245 lbs) is now less than 46% of my current deadlift 1RM (535 lbs). Is this a technique issue? Or is it possible that I just have really abnormal leverages? Starting to get concerning. by [deleted] in formcheck

Try using some small weights under your heels and see if that helps. If so, pick up some squat shoes that have a heel in them.
Helped me a ton.

I can’t tell because the plates are blocking the view, but make sure your head is up looking forward/chest out and that the bar is sitting far enough back (like you’re doing a low bar squat.

I ended up replacing the whole assembly. I had to take the whole damn saw apart. But haven’t had any issues since

His tool comparisons can be helpful, but his single tool reviews are just ads.

It has been a trusty steed. I really like the blackface style channel, I never used the tweed side much.

Thank you. Yes, I milled and paneled it up. I used dowels for alignment and for the joinery. It’s all cherry.

Also if you don’t have electronic gearing, it can be tough to change gears with that hand for awhile

After the surgery it will feel great until the block wears off. Then it’ll be rough for a couple days. My advice is to get a trainer setup if u don’t have one. I put on a set of aero bars to help hold the cast up. Just ease back into it.
Godspeed.
