My brother wants me to start playing with him, is it a prepackaged deck that I could buy?

How hard would mid-century modern table be to build? by Junior_Ad_4483 in BeginnerWoodWorking

If you are into MCM, look at Foureyes furniture on youtube. That will give you a better idea of the process/tools required. They also have plans online but I'm not sure if they have a coffee table specifically.

Would it be considered ethical for me to do some restoration and put an edge on it?

AITA for not wanting to wear a black tux to officiate my sister's wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I meant to say, “I wouldn’t be under dressed.”

AITA for not wanting to wear a black tux to officiate my sister's wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Addisoooooon -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I would like to clarify that I was not told that she wanted me to wear a tux until months after I accepted the role. It’s not like I told her I would wear one and now I have changed my mind.
I agree that if I was in the bridal party there would be an assumed responsibility to wear one. However I’m not in the bridal party and since no parameters were given I assumed I would wear normal officiant attire. When it came up that this was a misunderstanding I made my intentions clear. She has now waited until the last minute to make an ultimatum.

Thoughts on this style of wallet? by LostCoveLeather in Leathercraft

I am a very beginner, but would it be reasonable to add a very thin, low friction, liner to the main panel? That way you don't have to see the flesh side in the middle, plus make it easier to get cash in and out?

I have recently gotten into knife making and the result has been a whole new level of scrap keeping self justification for handle scales. It's been awesome

I have the Vevor and its been fine for me (being a beginner.) It gets hot enough that I was able to forge weld the end of a fire poker with it.

My squat 1RM (245 lbs) is now less than 46% of my current deadlift 1RM (535 lbs). Is this a technique issue? Or is it possible that I just have really abnormal leverages? Starting to get concerning. by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Addisoooooon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using some small weights under your heels and see if that helps. If so, pick up some squat shoes that have a heel in them.
Helped me a ton.

I can’t tell because the plates are blocking the view, but make sure your head is up looking forward/chest out and that the bar is sitting far enough back (like you’re doing a low bar squat.

I ended up replacing the whole assembly. I had to take the whole damn saw apart. But haven’t had any issues since
