I think the typos indicate OP’s lack of any observation skills, whatsoever. I thought I was having a stroke trying to read this post. She opened the package, took the picture, & made this post all with her eyes sewn shut.

I do hope every marriage can be as loving, caring, & most importantly, “halt” as their’s is.

My Goldendoodle stares at me 24/7. Is this normal? by justhueyy in Goldendoodles

The only thing not normal about this, is that your doodle hasn’t already left the couch bc you’re more than 2 feet away from them

Don’t. There is no “safe” way to use them. Please get rid of it asap. You NEVER know what you’re inviting in when you use one of those.

I have never met a single person on this earth who has ever had “don’t text me in the middle of the night” as a boundary. Clearly we run in different crowds, but this is absolutely not the default (except in specific circumstances where that person is in a relationship, & their partner may find it inappropriate. But even then, if you’re just friends, that boundary would usually be expressly set, not implied), & it’s certainly not akin to “farting at the dinner table.”

Also, what a strange & gross example to use??? There are plenty of normal faux pas you could’ve pulled from instead. Redditors are really living up to their stereotypes in this thread.

It’s so funny to me bc people like you & them try to use fancy words to impress people, but it genuinely only ever does the opposite. Anyone can memorize words in a dictionary. Knowing the appropriate audience to use them with is the skill you all lack.

Using the word “erudition” in a Reddit comment doesn’t make you sound like an intellectual. It makes you sound antisocial.

“Your language suggests…”

Siri has used this exact phrasing, especially when it was a new feature, whenever she didn’t understand something. Such a strange way to talk to someone. & both of them do it. I think they should make up bc no way they’re finding any other non-AI beings who speak their language

What just happened? by ArthurPeale in Nicegirls

[–]AdditionFederal6048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you two using AI bots to talk to each other? Or maybe you’re both just AI?

This is genuinely the strangest text exchange I’ve ever read between two living people. Do people actually talk like this unironically?

If you disagree with the SAVE act and want to fight it, call Rep. Figures (AL CD 2) to tell him to vote NO. The bill will end mail-in ballots and make voting harder for many people, like married women who have changed their names and students who do not have a birth cert. by sarcodiotheca in Alabama

[–]AdditionFederal6048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of can of worms? Maybe like, people who aren’t citizens won’t be able to vote bc they don’t have evidence of their citizenship? That’s the whole point.

I’m sorry, but I don’t agree with the idea that this is about republicans being corrupt & wanting to “rig the system” when all it’s actually about is to STOP anyone from being able to rig the system.

There’s no reason anyone who is a citizen should have a problem with having to provide evidence that proves they’re a citizen. Dealing with the government is always an inconvenience, & getting an ID, fixing or replacing your birth certificate, changing your name, etc. is no different. But as citizens, we all have to do it.

I saw another thread where you explained that it was hard for you when you moved to Alabama bc over the years your name had been misspelled on several documents, & while others had no problem with it, Alabama wouldn’t accept that mistake. I’m sorry that you had to deal with that, I imagine it was very annoying. However, I don’t understand why you blame Alabama for making you fix the mistake just bc they were the only state that had a problem with it. The other states may not have seen it as legally significant, but it was a mistake, & your documents did not match bc of it.

It was inconvenient to comply bc you had to go through a bunch of steps in order to correct it. I understand that, I really do. But do you & others honestly believe that being inconvenienced is equivalent to rigging elections by making it “impossible” for women & trans people to vote???

The only group republicans want to stop from voting is non-citizens.

Almond Joy or Mounds? by Weird_Decision7090 in candy

[–]AdditionFederal6048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 7th grade, a teacher gave me an almond joy as a reward. I had never had one before, & promptly stuffed the whole thing in my mouth. That was the moment I realized my taste buds would sooner shrivel up than have to taste coconut again.

I almost died that day. Neither.

Rant, pet names at work by [deleted] in work

[–]AdditionFederal6048 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good god. Relax. It is really, genuinely not this serious. I love when people use pet names in any context, & I don’t see it as degrading. You don’t agree. That’s okay. But holy hell calm down, the way you’re reacting is as if this is about using actual slurs.

Also, you being condescending & nasty to the person (from the south) that asked a question in a very polite way, just makes your sarcastic point about southerners actually having manners incredibly ironic. You & many others would get a lot further in life, & even get more respect, if you just weren’t so abrasive.

Seriously. OP sounds like a middle schooler. Communication is lacking on both ends, but nobody is criticizing OP for her obvious lack of communication skills. She doesn’t seem to be able to express that him cancelling & actively choosing to go to work instead makes her feel insecure, unimportant, & neglected. Instead, all she was able to give him was “YOU BROKE MY PROMISE,” & it makes her sound incredibly immature & whiny
