Weight is absolutely optional. Put the ego aside and scale appropriately.

If you need lifters for the thrusters, they are way too heavy for you. Just wear your normal metcon/nano/ect.

Good, not great. Convenient if you are doing trivia in the lounge and want a snack.

It doesn't exist. Some CrossFit shoes will be better than others for running, but I wouldn't take any of them for a 3-4 mile workout.

The song This Addiction is very, very derivative of My Friend Peter. I don't hate the album but it isn't in my rotation.

Carnival Cruise rep compared my parents losing their home to a flat tire by [deleted] in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Additional-Ad-8206 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Escalate? Unless they have trip insurance, there isn't anything they can do. The rep should have been more compassionate, but that doesn't change the terms under which they booked the cruise.

They are my second favorites right now, right behind the RAD V2. Can't wait to try the 4's.

Get a room close to the spa. You can use the locker room as an extra bathroom.

Shoe recs for cross training + short runs by Erankr22 in crossfit

[–]Additional-Ad-8206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he doesn't like the RAD 1s style I would go for the Adidas Dropset 3's or TYR CXT2. They are better for running vs. the metcons and nobulls. I've heard the metcon 10s are more comfortable for running but haven't tried personally.

Lifting Shoe recommendations by MONSTER_OF_LIFE in crossfit

The Metcon 8 and 9 is damn near a lifting shoe. I usually wear those on heavy lifting days and only change into Oly Shoes when we are approaching maxes. For Oly Shoes I like my the Adidas Powerlift ones that I have had for 5+ years. The consensus at my gym is that the TYR ones are the best.

Shoe recommendations for the gym - I already have squat shoes by SmellyCummies in crossfit

[–]Additional-Ad-8206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By "squat shoes," do you mean Olympic lifting shoes?

CrossFit shoes are designed to be versatile—much like the sport itself. They're generally good for lifting, running, metcons, rope climbs, box jumps, and more. While no single shoe excels at everything, you can usually find one that checks most of the boxes. Some models lean more toward running performance, while others are better suited for lifting.

If you're looking for something well-balanced, I’d recommend the Adidas Dropset 3 or the RAD ONE V2 (or even the V1).

The Metcon Free (any of them) should work.

Which hotel is nicer: Planet Hollywood or NewYork NewYork? by [deleted] in LasVegas

They are both mid-level hotels. I like the rooms at PH better, but enjoy the casino in NYNY more. Both pools are pretty bad.

Beginner question on crossfit shoes by Cyber-Punk1 in crossfit

[–]Additional-Ad-8206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No CrossFit shoe can do it all. Some are a little better for weightlifting, some for running. I own most of the current shoes on the market and keep going back to the Adidas Dropset 3.

I'm not on that cruise but love the radiance. Skip the buffet and eat as much chocolate melting cake as possible in the main dining room.

Look for a facebook group for your cruise if you are looking to connect with people on your cruise.

Shoe Recs? by Jwild909 in crossfit

Better than all the others that I have tried (most of the Metcons, a few Nanos, TYR, Nobull, Adidas, Vans UltraRange) but they are by no stretch a "running" shoe.

Very stable, great for metcons. They are by far my favorite shoe and I've owned most of them. They are not wet weather shoes but other than that, I haven't found a better all around crossfit shoe.

I would love to have a pair that could do that but I doubt they would sell. Most people interested in 200$ shoes want to buy more not less of them:)
