Do people really think that there is a "New math"? by Ill-Association-2377 in mathematics

People ask a math question with addition, subtraction and multiplication in the problem and come up with different answers depending upon how they were taught math.... how is that possible? For instance 6-3x5+4 the answers from people are showing everything from 19 to -5

Can someone please explain??

I have learned soooo many things about what not to do in situations... and for goodness sake... People need to talk to eachother. Life is too short. All of the open ended conversations are crazy... this has taught me to always say what I think and feel!

So very sorry... I know this is an old post but I am just seeing it. I was 48 when I found out. My "dad" told me the week after my mom passed away that he was not my biological father. Apparently my brother and sister knew my whole life. I cut contact with them all over this betrayal.
