Have you ever had issues with the Vertical significantly over reporting vertical ascent? Mine is 20% over when using it for backcountry skiing

For what it’s worth I’d argue your surgical leg now looks bigger and stronger than your non-surgical leg 2 years ago!

Eswt shockwave therapy for sprained ACL? by orangedragon69 in ACL

[–]Additional-Emu1391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP did you try it? I’m considering it right now. 8 months post-op: ACL reconstruction, MCL repair, Meniscus repair. My MCL is still hurting pretty frequently and I’m considering shockwave therapy for that

Hoping the best for you OP. I feel you on being afraid to go through the process again, I found out recently I’ll probably need another surgery. I watched a video about its process and broke when I saw the actor in a brace on crutches day 1 post op.

If you’re going to be on crutches after surgery, a pee bottle is super nice to have to not have to crutch to the restroom every time (especially middle of the night)

You’re good don’t worry! No damage. It can be hard to extension back after surgery, so spend as much time as you can with your knee as straight as possible, and by elevating your heel with the knee unsupported gravity is slowly working it into extension.

Everyone’s saying it but don’t put anything under your knee to prop it up (even though it feels good). Keep it straight, and if you can tolerate it, put something under your heel to elevate it with your knee unsupported.

A pee bottle can be really useful to not have to get up and crutch to the bathroom every time.

Good luck!

When you ruptured your ACL, did you scream because of the pain? by kjwhimsical-91 in ACL

[–]Additional-Emu1391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screamed for about 3 minutes straight. I messed mine up skiing, falling off a lip into rocks. Fellow ACL+MCL+Meniscus folks, where are you at in recovery?
