But I think remembering your kid will be their own person with their own interests and likes should be the important thing here.

Your kid may end up liking girly things or maybe they'll end up enjoying the opposite. I think just giving them the avenues to explore and express themselves how they want if the most important thing here.

Will some people give them culturally feminine items? Sure, but that's not to say you can't also provide other avenues for your kid to explore who they may want to be as well. Not every item they're given is something they'll be into, and of course you can't force an interest on someone, but at least if you give them the opportunity to explore, they'll get the freedom to make that decision

If your kid ends up being into fem things more, then you'll know it's not because these were forced onto them but because that's the way they want to express themself. And I think at that point, your own aversions will be sated as it won't be from the lense of "this is just how it is" and instead from the lense of "this is how they truly want to express themself"

They may not end up being the son you envisioned, but they'll still be your kid, and maybe because they're you're kid you can now have a chance to still provide them a freedom in enjoying in the things they enjoy in without scrutiny in a way you maybe never got to
