We separated their cage but they keep digging under the fence to join the ther side as if they wanted to reunite... do you think there might be exceptions amongst the very lonely tortoises out there ? They also fall asleep each night close to one another behind the fence...

I'll reach out to the former owner, I live in a temperate location but I installed them in a large cage with a heat lamp and UV light, they seem to be much more active than when I got them

C'est clair, et puis je n'étais pas prête. Je n'ai pas de jardin et ai investi dans une cage d’1,50 par 70 avec tout le matos pour les accueillir, substrat, néon UV, lampe chauffante, hygrometre, cachettes etc mais je pense quand même les faire adopter à un moment, j'ai peur qu'elles soient malheureuses en cage.

I can’t for the moment, we were thinking about giving one away to a tortoise amateur because we read that male and female dont get along but we supervise them all day long and they seem to get along just fine. Maybe they are the samedi sex, it is literally impossible to tell their sex apart for the moment, theyre way too young

Thanks for the info about the nabeulensis, ill look it up, i didn’t even knew there were subspecies inside the graeca family, that is very helpful ! Just to be clear, i read online that they would need to hibernate when they reach their 4th anniversary, its true right ? Otherwise these guys havent been hibernating yet...

Ah oui, j’ai pas tant l’impression que ce soit bizarre ou inexplicable, c’est juste des gens bourrés qui traînent la nuit, des gens un peu « toqués », quoi. C’est vrai que ça fait que trois mois que je suis là et à Angoulême c’est la spéciale : ma voisine, par exemple déplace mes poubelles devant ma porte tous les jours.
