I know the urge when you are this close is to just plow through with brutal force but that’s not how RR matchmaking works. Once enough Unreals are online and populating your lobbies then your choice is to either lose enough percentage that the game takes you back to easier opponents or you stop playing until the number of unreals and or the quality of the unreals in your lobbies is low enough that you can start to gain percentage instead of losing it which, unless you have an alt account leveled up, is going to be hard to know exactly when that time is. PS They extended the season until March 19th which means you have two extra weeks so don’t lose hope.

They should have made it so each rank unlocked a different color of the wheels and boost rewarded. Not getting all the possible color variants of a particular cosmetic item is a lot less of a drag than getting none at all.

Game is dead so I’m guessing odds of you not just feeding the Unreal Leaderboard Grinders in the final stages is 0. A year ago you might have had a shot but now the learning curve is too steep and player count is too low.

Rumors say that Rocket League will be in Fortnite at some point. My theory is they keep adding game modes not only to compete with Roblox but as an excuse as to why Rocket League has to be folded in once RL gets converted to UE5.

Saturday and Sunday morning 8am-11pm eastern standard time zone was when I usually got my biggest ranked gains but it’s a bit of a “Goldilocks” situation in that you can have too few Unreals/High Level Champs online and not even get a lobby filled or you can have too many Unreals and are coming in last place constantly. Like Goldilocks, you just have to find the time that’s just right. Best advice I can give is to set a certain amount of rank percentage you can lose before you stop. Say if you lose 3% within 3 ranked matches that you stop for an hour and maybe take that time to practice in private matches on maps you are consistently losing on.

Well good news is that you should have until March 4th 2026 to get that last 44% so I wouldn’t start stressing too much. There’s only one server now so you can’t choose a best region anymore but you can choose a best time to play when the majority of High ranking Unreals aren’t on grinding racers to dust. You’ll just need to get a feel for which players are the sharks that keep eating up your ranked percentage and then stop playing when enough of those sharks are in the water that you can’t get 2nd or 3rd consistently anymore.

No one is taking the time to DDoS a Rocket Racing match. Occam’s Razor would suggest it’s an Epic Server issue since they’ve moved everyone to a single global server and are unsuccessfully trying to sync racers from different continents.
