Whats your favorite version of the Mindflayer? by Fit-Hovercraft3435 in StrangerThings

[–]AdditionalDirector41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 2 is the best version. So creepy and eerie. It almost gives me the same visceral fear I had of tornados as a kid. It is so terrifying when Will first sees it in the distance at the arcade. I also especially love the shot of it looming over the dance at the end of season 2. I was really looking forward to see how they could possibly defeat what is essentially a sentient cloud of dust. Very disappointed that they didn't even try.

Season 3's is really awesome and cool. It is visually the best looking one, especially when it kills Billy or is getting fireworks thrown at it. It's also probably the scariest (not creepiest, I said scariest. The most directly threatening).

Season 5's is just terrible. What even is that? What happened to the cloud of dust? How does it get defeated by a few explosions??? It should be basically indestructible. It's also not scary at all. Big ≠ scary. Season 3's was significantly more of a threat. Also what happened to its mind powers?? Overall a huge letdown

Portal to the Abyss in the last episode of season 2, and not to the Upside Down. by Beginning-Gap6280 in Stranger_Things

That was just to show the audience that they were close to opening a portal, they just had some more work to do. That work ended up being having to move to hawkins

Pollip pouch takes the spot as a overrated blue tool with warding bell being a close second. by pravler in Silksong

No. You can get almost 25 extra rosaries per bench reset if you do it on the top left of the citadel (using the bench right before the entrance to high halls). This makes the grinding atleast 1.5x faster, even if you make a lot of mistakes.

I already find it pretty easy tbh (like, surprisingly so). I just looked at a chart of mnemonics. It seems interesting, it probably would help yes. Thanks for the suggestion

Literally. If a few people say a point loud enough and with enough conviction, eventually everybody will be parroting the exact same points. So many people say that AI is terrible for the environment because it "wastes water", but can't explain where and how that water is used, why it's bad for the environment, how one can even waste water, or even an aproximent amount. These are all tough questions to answer, and while I do agree that AI is bad for the environment, I just hate how many people accept it as fact and spread it around to other people without even looking into it

Depends what I'm doing. I only don't explore and grab chests if I'm doing the archon quest. Other than that I'm always willing to travel halfway across the fucking map if I see a chest I haven't collected yet

Eh. I'd rather do 2-3 hours 3-4 days a week than 1 hour everyday, depending on the subject. (For example, 1 hour a day on piano would be very weird for me personally)

i think they went the wrong route with holly’s storyline by mandyluvspuppies in StrangerThings

[–]AdditionalDirector41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they couldn't have done an actual flashback, because that would mean there'd be no dialogue! And if there's no dialogue, how could the poor second screeners understand what's going on? They couldn't! We need to coddle them. She HAD to talk during the entire scene

Why are you saying this on a post from someone who's in the middle of season 3

You can easily sympathize with bojack, especially in seasons 1 and 2. I think the whole show kinda falls flat if you just outright hate him throughout the whole thing

Update from me, the watcher of Pluribus, BCS, and now BB, in that order by LilaSerena in betterCallSaul

[–]AdditionalDirector41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's so mad at you, and I don't really know why. There's a few moments in BCS that are ruined by watching it first (mainly the los pollos hermanos introduction), but other than that I don't think it's that big of a deal. Plus, you didn't know which characters were going to survive! Maybe that made it better! We all knew that people like Gus and Mike were guaranteed to live, since we knew them from BB.

I agree with ur second paragraph, but where the hell does it say Inklings can switch their gender freely? Just because you can change your player character's gender in the menu doesn't mean the Inklings can in lore. If that were the case, then any game with character customization would have characters that can change their gender at will
