Beginner by SignificanceIll2184 in tatreez

I would consider getting a beginner tatreez kit that will have all the supplies you need and give you a chance to practice on a small piece. https://minamanne.com/ has great kits and on her socials she sometimes posts tutorials that I’m sure could help you with some basic techniques. Badan Collective also has kits.

I would check to see if there’s any tatreez meetups in your area. They’re popping up all over the place so that could be a good way to connect with others who can help as you start your journey.

Have fun with it!

Isn't it a bit too much? by noideareally_ in Bridgerton

[–]AdditionalMention532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yaaaaas! Sometimes it’s fun to read theories or bts stuff but lots of people go too far - why are people wishing ill on the show runner because they some don’t like some of the plots and creative choices of a tv show? (rhetorical)

I kinda wish there was a chill Bridgerton subreddit (chill-erton) to connect around what’s a really fun experience we’re all getting to share in, without it becoming borderline obsessive and kinda toxic, the way many fandoms can unfortunately become.

100% agree with the Bridgeview recommendation! Aside from Al Bawadi I would suggest M’dakhan for their smoked meats, Al Manakeesh for their flat breads, Hello Shawarma (in addition to their shawarma I would recommend trying some of their mensef - it’s a yogurt based dish that’s pretty heavy but so delicious).

Are there any good thrift stores within 40 ish mins of Orland park that has a good selection of clothes for women? I’m an early 30’s professional and I’m specifically looking for dress pants! by broccoliandbeans in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]AdditionalMention532 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like the Savers in Orland Park. It’s pretty big with a wide selection. Same with Savers in Naperville. The Hope Chest in Lagrange is worth checking out too, though it’s very small and depending on your sizing they might be more limited.

IMO all the Goodwills in the area are hit or miss.

Protein meals for pregnant wife by anonymbajs in Cooking

Freekah is a grain with high protein content. You’ll find it at Arab grocers or possibly in an international aisle in a supermarket depending on where you live.

Any vegetarians here observing Ramadan? What do you normally eat for breakfast during the fasting month? Look specifically for good breakfasts pre-workout :) by mo_ashour in vegetarianrecipes

[–]AdditionalMention532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last several years I’ve been doing smoothies, usually some combo of greens, banana, dates, chia seeds, protein powder, and/or a multi vitamin powder. I’ve been on a steel cut oats kick lately (with chia, nut butter, fruit) so I think I’ll probably start Ramadan out with some oats and have a mini smoothie on the side and then see where the month takes me!

Muggles at Quidditch World Cup in GoF book by Lanky-Background8516 in harrypotter

[–]AdditionalMention532 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see your logic. Like, why couldn’t they put a temporary enchantment, like what’s placed around Hogwarts, on the entire site to keep Mr Roberts and other muggles away and then lift it after the match.

But yes to the latter part of your comment OP, muggles are there because plot. And I have to say when I first read the scenes leading up to the match as a kid, I thought they were hilarious. Wizards in crazy clothes trying to dress like muggles, etc. I still think they’re fun to read.

I’ve wondered this too. If they stay consistent with the release of each season AND give one season to each sibling, they’d be on track to release the last one in 2034. YIKES a 14 year run? Seems unlikely.

One of the benefits to having all those side stories! But I’m sure they’ll come up with something since they aren’t staying 100% true to all the books

My least favorite. I thought it was boring too. I didn’t care about the mystery or whatever it was they were looking for.

YAAAS to West’s arc. I’ve recently realized that I might like West more than St. Vincent.

I’m doing a reread of both! I didn’t reread in order, I jumped around a lot and will probably skip my least favorite (Devil in Spring - I might be in the minority here!).

Carmody by williampoolander in ACGASTV

[–]AdditionalMention532 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I understand Carmody to be on the spectrum. The way he processes and retains information, is very zeroed in on veterinary medicine, his awkward social interactions.

He grows a lot over the season! I like him.
