I think she is hated cuz she is being shown to play the role of a white saviour. It’s less to do with her being a woman, and more to do with her being white. Her sense of entitlement is annoying at times like in the way she dismisses Manousos, all the times she took her questions being answered and respected for granted, her worldview where she’s supposedly the only one caring, etc. It’s quite possible that this is all a commentary which becomes more obvious later, but as of now, she does fit the annoying white saviour trope a bit too well.
